Pros
- Wireless
- Easily synched
- Gyro support
- NFC support (for Amiibo)
- Basic rumble support
Cons
- The face buttons could be a bit higher. They're nearly flushed
- No IR camera
- Purple L and R buttons would have been nice
- ZL and ZR practically require your fingers to be at the edge for the press to register.
Overall, this is a very servicable set of Joycons and may end up being my favorite controller of all time. Hopefully there will be a version 2 of this controller with raised face buttons and IR support.
There are now third party “GameCube” style joy-con controllers made by a company called Sades that can wake up the Switch with the home button and have nfc support for amiibo.

These are what I was referring to. I don’t have them, and the reviews I’ve seen say they’re a pass but still they’re interesting none the less.
