2 months so far and i charge my mouse everyday and yanking it when i use it. No problem so far. Magnet aligns easily when i put my mouse near. It passes data too so i can use wired mode. I use this one
I bought these more expensive ones, but I actually just bought those cheaper ones since there's a longer cable, so I'll report back to you. You can definitely live without them, but the way I use them in the VRGE docking station makes storing and charging controllers as simple as sliding them into their slot on the docking station.
And given that these cables are only for charging through the docking station, I doubt the quality of the cables will matter much.
I have a Note 9, and use a magnetic base / window suction cup, a thin case with a magnetic plate inside and mounted at the bottom third (to not block the NFC/Pay transmitters) and magnetic USB power cord conversion, and a fast charger.
Stick the phone to the mount, stick the power cord on, done. Just grab it to get out - no buttons, unplugging, nada.
