I've had amazing results with a 5 ft telescopic Zebco I got with a micro 33 reel. Once the novelty of the spincast reel wore off, I set it up with a Daiwa 1000 reel and it works extremely well.

It casts light Trout Magnet jigs far away and is really fun to fight young bass and gills. It cost around 25 bucks with the Zebco reel and I'd buy another one in a pinch.
