I have the Zolo Liberty: https://www.amazon.com/Zolo-Earphones-Bluetooth-Technology-Sweatproof/dp/B075JBP2P7 if you want to pay a little more, I love them

If I had to guess, they updated the Liberty chipset to include Bluetooth 5 (probably because the rest of the Zolo/Anker/Soundcore lineup does, so easier manufacturing) and in the process updated their packaging but not their website yet.

FWIW, Amazon also shows them with BT5:

Basics:

  • Budget - $175 or less.
  • Source - For PC use.
  • Requirements for Isolation - Isolation isn't a priority as I'll mostly be using them in my office.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - IEM/earbud.
  • Preferred tonal balance - Overall balance.
  • Preferred Music - Mostly for use for gaming.

    Details:

I'm basically looking for "true" wireless, bluetooth earbuds for gaming. I'm not playing online games, so I don't need precise and detailed surround sound. Just something convenient and preferably produces an overall balanced tone. I've done some research on on "true" wireless bluetooth earbuds a lot of them seem to suffer from the one aspect that is actually critical for my use. For example, I was looking into these Anker ZOLOs but read that there is a delay in audio if you were watching a video/movie. So obviously if I'm playing a game, even if it's not competitive, I want the audio from the IEMs to be in sync with the game video.

So can anyone recommend a pair of wireless, bluetooth IEMs that they know do not suffer from an audio delay that would put me out of sync when gaming?

    Thanks!

I loved my jaybird x3 until my cats decided they wanted a snack. These have piqued my interest and may be my next replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075JBP2P7

Can recommend these as well. They're still a bit too bulky for my taste, but the sound is good for the price i guess (compared to my Piston 2's and different Superlux OverEars that i use(d) at home, not an audiophile here...). At least in my ears they also work pretty well for running.

I also have my eyes on the true wireless Anker Zolo Liberty, which you can buy right now i think: https://www.amazon.com/Total-Wireless-Earphones-Bluetooth-Technology-Sweatproof/dp/B075JBP2P7/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1511254280&sr=8-2&keywords=zolo+liberty

There's also a + version, but they're only available via their Kickstarter, afaik.

I just picked up a pair of Liberty Earbuds that feel pretty good. I’ve jogged for an hour on a treadmill and they haven’t fallen out yet. Can’t say about driving though, still too icy to get out since I got em. Before these I had Jaybirds and liked them.
