I would do a nice low pike Persian/oriental. And I’d add a big seating ottoman in the middle. https://www.frontgate.com/serena-shoe-ottoman/indoor-furniture/benches-ottomans/684557?SourceCode=ZZ73105&cm_mmc=pinterest-_-pingage-_-3343590-_-NA#_a5y_p=3343590 as an idea. Maybe something like this. If you can afford a rug large enough to tuck under the tv console, then yes, go for it. As for cleaning, it depends. Yes, the higher the pile, the harder it is to mess with, so you have to try to find that "sweet spot" of good looking and manageable to clean. Sorry if my rug description was convoluted, here's some examples of what I meant by patterns (keep in mind this is me spit-balling to give you ideas, not concrete "you have to buy this" statements): Sonoma, Twiggy, Lunarable, Homeway,

The throw pillows don't need to be the exact same pattern as the rug, what I meant was that they should match in that they have something in common or at least compliment each other well (I suppose that's obvious, but I'm mentioning it anyway).

The clock doesn't necessarily have to be directly over the plant, but roughly in that area.

Art over the couch would be good--in the photos you first posted there's an edge of what looked like a picture frame, so I assumed you had things hung already.

What about this? Would it clash with my tapestry?

Your presentation needs work:

  • I see a lot of photos of items on your bed and some of items on top of USPS boxes—stop doing this. Have a consistent background for all of your photos, and make sure you take photos in a well-lit area.
  • Put more thought into your photos to show the true value. You can neatly hang up items on a white wall or use a huge white posterboard (or a clean, white rug like this one ) as a background for items that you want to lay flat.
  • Add more details to your descriptions. State the condition (for ex. used and in excellent condition, used with a small hole, etc.). Add keywords that people would type if they were searching for your specific item.
  • Make sure your items are clean when you post them. Wash clothes, use a lint roller if necessary, clean shoes to the best of your ability, etc.
  • Share your closet at least 4 times a day.
  • When in doubt, ask yourself if you would buy your item. If the answer is no, figure out what needs to be better (photos, descriptions, etc.) and make changes.

I love your firewall bricks! Your classic dinning table is also elegant.

For your living room:

  1. add some rug. use plain colors (white or grey) like this one.
  2. Then add some table on the center with a table runner and plants.
  3. Also, put a runner on the couch to put accent (white or grey) to look it more elegant.
  4. Then change your pillow color white and grey.
  5. You can actually hang a wall art on the fireplace on the top. Just the small one panel wall art. Like this one.

    For your dining room:

  6. Add a circular rug just use the light color. Just like this setup
  7. Then you can set the tables. formal table setting.

So I'm being made aware of the Top 5 rule, so here we go:

  1. The swivel chair was one of my first and favorite purchases.

  2. Did a lot of research on dressers because apparently many of them are very poorly made, ended up finding this Delta dresser on Amazon for cheaper than BBB or Wayfair.

  5. And lastly, for anyone looking for a smaller bookshelf/toy storage, I really love this last little piece we added to help with organization.

Overall I pieced this room together over the course of almost the entire pregnancy, and a lot of the bigger items were purchased during sales or using coupons, which helped a ton. The smaller touches were found in clearance bins or at Dirt Cheap (i.e. The curtains, jars, mirror, etc).

I'll agree you put some rug. Just to make the space more elegant. Choose the white one or the silver one like this. Then, yes remove the cabinet. I think both cabinet? just to make a breathable space. Then, replace it with some tall plants on both side of the tv. Then, hang a wall art at the top of the tv like nature wall art to compliment with the plants. Also, Have a succulent plant at the top of your table. Also put a circular cloth under the succulent plant. And on the sofa. You can add some throw pillows with 2 colors. See this setup.
