Warm beverage when you can snag a drink, heated socks - heated blanket! Best of luck!

A 3way fridge is definitely more spendy now, but in the long run the versatility is outstanding. For instance you can run off your normal LP system, swap to 120v is your tanks getting low, and if you ever put in a solar system, this can run off the batteries without a converter! They auto switch to, so if one source gets cut (say you're on vacation and your power goes out, it will swap to 12v or LP and save your food!).

I have this model, and really like it.

Well first gut on 2003; is 1500 can be scary. I'd check if that model has a transmission cooler. If they don't and they towed ever the transmission will have shortened life. Most seem to think 250/2500/three quarter ton vans are the sweet spot; build tough but not over built. 2003 with 159,000 miles; 1500 Ram van. The van is worth about $2,000. FYI that probably is all the financing you would get on it.

So you're paying the seller $8,000 for wiring, solar, a fridge, roof fan, and wood? Seems awfully high to me. I'd price it out. I'm of the opinion anything in a van is worth 50% msrp as soon as it is installed. I mean if you were buying an used ARB fridge.

You wouldn't pay $1,200 for it; you'd look to probably pay $600-$800 at most. I'd say the value of that van is about $5,000. $2,000 for the van, $500 for solar, $500 for wood, $500 for fridge, $500 fan.

If you do go for it Valley Brake and Tire in El Monte, CA is a very good shop. I'd have the cylinders pressure tested.

Personally, I think the July market on vans is awful. High prices and unmotivated sellers. I wouldn't hurry to buy a van right now unless you really need to.
