It's hard to say - my son was 6lbs 12oz at birth and ended up wearing NB sizes for two months.

Knowing what I know now, I'd go with something like this -

Newborn:

Two packs of these sleep gowns - so you'll have 6 total. This is what my son wore... 80% of the time for a few months. Night and day - they allow the easiest access for diaper changes, especially with a sleeping baby. And no buttons or zippers to fuck with at 3am. Seriously - the best.

One Pack of the Gerber Onesies - so you've got 8 onesies that can be bleached if you need to.

One Pack of Leggings/Pants - so you'll have 4 pants total that you can throw over the onesies if you need to layer up.

One Pack of Socks - this is my favorite brand. They've never fallen off of my son in 17 months. As a newborn I'd put them on and pull them up over his pants and that helped keep them on before his feet grew big enough to hold them up. The pack I got were white, which don't seem to be available right now on Amazon, but if you can find white - DOOO EEEET. No one wants to try to match up 24 socks when they're sleep deprived. Just do white. Also - wash these in a mesh bag so they don't get lost to the sock monster.

Two Packs of Fleece Footies - depending on how cold it gets, fleece or cotton zipper footies. 4 pairs total will get you through the times you don't want to dress baby but need to be able to buckle her into a carset (which you can't do with the gowns).

That's pretty much all my son wore for months, barring like... his Christmas outfit, etc.

For 0-3 Months it's basically the same thing, just sized up. You'll figure out pretty quick which clothes work best for you and how many you need. My son, for example, ended up having horrible reflux. He spit up more than 10 average babies combined - so I think we ended up with around 50 onesies in 3-6 month sizing that all got worn multiple times. We went through around 7 outfit changes a day, even with bandanna bibs. So - lots of laundry. Also noteworthy is that this is when he started daycare, so we needed extra onesies for his earthquake kit, his emergency kit, his cubby, his diaper bag, etc - at least 7-10 onesies stashed places that never actually got used (so... save the godawful onesies you got as gifts but thought you'd never use for these emergency kits!).

But honestly - get you some Amazon Prime and your problems will be solved. Underbuy what you think you'll need clothing wise, and then when it becomes apparent that you need more of X, Y, or Z, load up your Amazon cart and you'll have it in two days.

PAUBOLI Fake Tattoo Sleeve Shirt Onesie Bodysuit for Baby boy 3-24 Months Gray Black (6-12 Month, Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0757MH5H3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RsYvDbJ8TWJYA

Well...for one, you can't buy a 5-pack of outfits for $13 after they're about 2.

Yes, the daycare costs go away, and public school is free...but there's before and aftercare, too.

I could easily pay $5 for leggings and t-shirts at Target for a toddler...and now leggings [for 'big kids'] are $6-10, shirts are $6-12. Underwear are ridiculously expensive for cotton and elastic and the never-ending stream of socks I have purchased for my middle child could put her through college. (Where do they go? How does she lose 24 pairs of socks? HOOOOW?)

Then there are school supplies. In pre-k, it was "a backpack". In school it is a backpack, a clear plastic pencil box, 72-pack of post-its, 1,195 pre-sharpened Ticonderoga pencils, the 43 pack of crayons (NO ROSE ART), 7.5 boxes of hypoallergenic tissues, 14 boxes of quart-size zip-top bags, 8 purple dry-erase markers, safety scissors - and you better try and slice your wrists and make sure they are weak AF, 6 2-pocket 3-prong folders in colors you have never heard of not to be confused with the 3 6-pocket 2-prong folders in burnt orange, 1 ruler, 6 million glue sticks.

Babies and toddlers can be entertained with the lids of pots and pans. If you're spending a lot on toys, you've already made a huge mistake. But 7 & 8-year-olds want a gaming system. And games for the gaming system. And when they don't like toys anymore...now it's TECH. Phones, iPods, tablets, fancy AF headphones. And now their $6 leggings are $87 jeans that they can't even wear to school b/c the fake rips are too high. And don't get me wrong...I don't even buy this shit and I feel like my kids are expensive. My teen...has found ONE style of shorts at Old Navy she A) feels comfortable in, B) are within dress code, and C) Are exactly the right size b/c somehow she ranges from a 4 to an 8 at the SAME STORE depending on fit. Oh, but these shorts are $36 each. SHORTS. They aren't even pants. You can get jeans for $20 and they have way more leg than SHORTS. They come out at exactly one time during the year and there is a GOOD chance they are on their way out b/c they are not going to be in style much longer. And these shorts are kind of baggy/flowy b/c she doesn't want them to touch her body too much (?) but she hasn't found a good pair of jeans in 3 years b/c "they're too baggy!" (there is a half-inch of room at her ankle) so she wears leggings instead. Also, driver's ed. Also, CAR INSURANCE. Also BRACES. Also GLASSES AND CONTACTS.

And my kids don't even really do activities and sports. $8,000 alone has gone into my child's mouth. And I know for damn sure the other kids aren't gonna spare me teeth problems.

My son has this set (Unfortunately I don’t think you can buy them separately) and the top one always reminds me of Becky when he wears it. That paired up with a little jacket would work better and be more recognizable imo.

The Amazon brand of Carter's has some good multi-packs.

I liked this one as it's just simple stripes.

These are ok too as a long sleeve option. I tend to dislike cartoon animals on baby clothes but these aren't terrible since they're more of a pattern than a graphic, if that makes sense.

Edit to add: primary.com is excellent as well. All solids and stripes, basically. You can search by color, too. The fabric quality is excellent. They're more than I like to spend, usually, but the quality is worth it. They're having a 40% off sale right now for the holiday.

I am a gigantic HP nerd to the point where my family asked me to please buy other clothes for my baby besides the Harry Potter ones that I had flooding my baby registry on Amazon (I have plenty more 😉)

They really are!

I also love these ones - they're labeled as boys but screw it I say it's neutral. I mean, it's sharks and pizza. It's silly and adorable.

Searching Amazon for holiday themed onesie pajamas I stumbled upon this gem, bodysuits made for Adult Baby & Diaper Lovers. I was unaware this was a fetish, according to the 4th review down it very much is indeed.

Here ya go. Shoot I kinda want one now.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way, but just allow yourself to feel however you feel. I just want you to know that you get to raise her however you want. My mom is super girly and I am not... I wear shirts that describe bacteria, have patterns and most of my shirts are blue. We are also having a girl and her wardrobe is extremely similar. I am not a fan of pink, things that say princess or diva, glitter or anything resembling this category. We bought her this taquito onesie that she will wear with a white bow so people can tell she's a girl. Did people roll their eyes at how "gender neutral" most of her clothes are? Sure. However, she is my daughter and I will choose what she wears until she is ready to decide on what she would like to wear.

It seems to be a real listing sadly enough.
