The first year I did it I sent books. I received a cheerleader outfit for my then-puppy (she's now fully grown and pretty much can only fit one leg in the outfit).

Last year I got a whole bunch of random stuff (calendar, candy, yoga pants, an ornament, sweets). I sent some books and some candy.

This year I received a Game of Thrones figurine, a gift card, and some alfajores. because I lived in Argentina and was obsessed with them. I sent my secret santa some spicy chips, an anatomy coloring book to help them with med school, colored pencils, and a poster to hang on their wall. BUT DON'T TELL MY SECRET SANTA THAT BECAUSE THE GIFT IS STILL IN TRANSIT.
