I'm not sure about "shabby chic" but 100% linen sheets are the best in my opinion. They are more expensive up front, but with care, will last generations. At least among bed sheets, 100% linen sheets are the most buy-it-for-life.

I have sets from Linoto (sold on Amazon) and Restoration Hardware. RH sells both cotton-linen blends and 100% linen sheets; be sure to get the right ones. They also have pretty reasonable sales from time to time. I've had great experiences with both!

Edit: West Elm has a sale right now on Belgian Flax linen sheets. Not sure if the quality is up to snuff (others may be able to shed light), but the price isn't terrible for linen.

They also make extra deep sheets, designed to totally wrap around the bed.

Something like this might work for you!

Ah I relate to this so much as I am Vietnamese, and in Vietnamese culture you sleep with 1 blanket on a bamboo mat. In American culture you have this fitted sheet thing that goes on the mattress, a flat sheet that goes between you and the top layers, a thin blanket, then a puffy layer that can be a duvet or comforter. There's an optional decorative blanket/quilt thing if you want to get real fancy. If you get real cold, you can stack on more blankets! Do you live in the US? If so, I would recommend Marshalls or TJ Maxx for affordable comforter sets and blanket (I currently use microfiber blankets). For bedsheets, I've bought from Target, Costco, and Marshalls, they all suck compared to this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IHPX9JY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

So I tracked your sheets to the end of the earth...

They were woven by workers of Bloomcraft Home, a subsidiary of P/Kaufman, Inc., in a textile mill in rural Bangalore, Karnataka, India from 2006 to late 2007 and sold under the "Reflections" label carried by Bed Bath & Beyond and JC Penny.

Bloomcraft's Home Division was spun off in September of 2008 to Royal Heritage Home and the exact color/print sheets you seek have indeed been discontinued. However, Royal Heritage Home remains in the sheet business and continues to make an excellent product, but they do not come cheap. If you match your thread count/finish to preference or old ones made in the same mill, you will be sleeping peacefully in no time in your new King bed.

These are them:

Not a dumb question. I would definitely go for the whole mattress protector, my water breaking was a massive amount of fluids that I was not expecting.

This is mine. I like it, it's pretty easy to wash and dry.

This is the best thing ever. Ours lasted 5 years with 3 kids (jumping on the bed, in the bed at the same time, etc).

I get these from Amazon

They are lots of fakes out there and in the reviews people tested the silk to be real. My personal observation was it performed as real sill should also. They are much less than the hyped Shhh Silk ones that run about $80

My registry advice beyond product reccs is to put thigs on a target registry instead of amazon if you can find the things you like. Amazon returns are bs. Please excuse typos, doing this one handed while nursing.

3 weeks out here, most useful items so far:

Moby wrap. It is like magic for getting him calm. He seems to be in suspended animation when he's in there and I can easily walk around and get things done. we also have a lillebaby air, but he's only just now become big enough for it

chicco infant seat and caddy stroller. I love the caddy stroller because it's so light and easy to open.

Fisher price rock n play. also nap magic, and this one lets Dad watch him in the living room while I take a shower or baby-free nap

Mattress protector - if you end up nursing the baby in bed you will get sticky milk and other bodily fluids on your sheets. I love my mattress and did not want it to start smelling like breastmilk cheese or baby urine.
https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Hypoallergenic-Waterproof-Mattress-Protector/dp/B00A2G9UDA

Not as useful:

constructed swaddles (swaddleme, ergobaby, woombie etc)
Our baby runs hot and sweaty, so we just swaddle him with the full size 47 inch aden and anais blankets (NOT the target aden brand, those are smaller) and he sleeps great

arms reach cosleeper. Really wanted to love this, but baby hates it and screams and wakes up when put in it - no such problems with my bed. We've been doing safe bed-sharing (LO and I sleep alone in queen sized bed, and I keep it pretty warm so no blankets) and do a lot of night nursing. Side effect is that I'm actually alert and well rested most of the time.

Rocking chair. Thought I would like this, but we mostly nurse in bed or on the couch and soothe to sleep with moby wrap or rock'n'play

(Pinzon Heavyweight Cotton Flannel Sheet Set - Queen, Cream)

These sheets from Amazon are incredibly durable, in addition to bring hands-down the nicest sheets I've ever slept on.

Welp, they've [gone up a bit in price,] (http://www.amazon.com/Clara-Clark-Premier-Collection-Sheet/dp/B00EJQT0ES?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) but still totally worth it if you ask me. There's several colors, but just fyi the yellow is not a harsh gold, it's a bright sunny. Now I want moar.

u/afuckingHELICOPTER · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

velvet flannel(winter normally, since keeps warm slightly better), Egyptian cotton 400 thread count other times.

Saw the bamboo on Bamboo and linen I'm swaying towards the bamboo cause its a quite a bit cheaper. What do guys think in comparison? I've never had any experience with any of these before.

u/Carlyweena · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Happy cake day sweetie!!!

I heard that these sheets are really nice. If they don't work, my favorite is Jersey Knit sheets. Can't go wrong! :)

I could really use this towel it would actually wrap all the way around me and that would be stellar. If you wanna do something else, feel free to surprise me I win!

u/abby89 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I actually love the Amazon brand! (Go figure.) They're the Pinzon ones. I have had three sets in the past two years and I've loved all of them. They haven't worn out, just wanted different colors :) They're sturdy, silky, and quite pretty.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/musictheory

I use scribd daily. It costs about $8 a month but it's worth it.

(And apologies for the correction, but you are looking for "scores", "charts", "parts", "arrangements", "transcriptions", "sheet music", or even "lead sheets". These are "music sheets" ;)

I got these: http://www.amazon.com/Clara-Clark-Premier-Series-Sheet/dp/B00902X93E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374961204&sr=8-1&keywords=clara+clark.

I've had them for about a month and they're pretty solid. They are microfiber and not cotton, but they're still really soft.

u/Nyxxsys · 1 pointr/Economics

In my opinion, what is worse than just cost reduction from operation scale in regards to small businesses is the memberships and credit cards that try to get the customers to commit to the seller. You'll simply never be able to achieve that as a small business, nor should you.

I imagine what they mean by 'secret selling and marketing data' is all the data they collect from the site. Beyond the significance of the raw data (seeing the keywords customers search from google, which items/colors sell the best) you can even control and suggest your products against the competition. Like these bedsheets, it will try to show you the amazon alternative in 3 areas on the page. The first "Similar item to consider" will only show if amazon has an alternative for that product and won't show if you're looking at an amazon item. The bar at the bottom of the page will only show amazon or amazon exclusive items if viewing an amazon page, otherwise, it may only include one or two.

You'd even have to consider that amazon won't be paying the expensive "fulfilled by amazon" warehouse costs or the sell cut that sellers must pay. Imagine a mall that on top of the monthly rent, force you to set up displays for their products right at your checkout line that always undercut your products.

I need new bed sheets. The two sets I own have been destroyed! I tend to use things till I can't anymore and the one set has a huge rip down the middle so it got trashed and the second has little holes all over it from, I can only assume, cat claws. So its on its way out. Thank you for the contest!

Dude, I'm a 30 year old man I've finally reached the point where my bed better be goddamn cozy or I'm not getting proper sleep. Got this for me and this misses last week and she's even impressed with my shopping ability

Can I get a $20 GC toward this set of sheets?

I currently own one set of sheets, and it costs me almost $20 a month to wash them, plus they are getting worn down from constant washing, but I just can't afford $30 worth of sheets right now! This would get me 2/3 of the way toward owning a second set. :) Bonus, I also own no pillowcases, and this comes with 'em! My sheets are actually feeling a bit oily to the touch right now, but I just don't have the $ to wash them.

Where's the aspirin indeed - registrar's office during drop/add makes your head spin.

u/PowerMonkey500 · 1 pointr/interiordecorating

So here's what I've gotten so far:

  • Pillowcases
  • Sheets
  • Rug
  • Throw pillows
I'm looking for a teal (or something) duvet cover to tie it all together but having immense amounts of trouble. I'm looking at these and these but not sure.
Right now everything is pretty much grey and white, I'm going to make the duvet cover be the colourful part.
And now I'm also wondering if I should get more colourful throw pillows. I wanted the grey ones I linked anyway, they'll go on the couch if I get different ones.
And I'm also thinking of a knitted white rug, something like this, for the foot of the bed maybe.

Black and white set

This is pretty!

In winter, I LOVE our jersey sheets.

That is an amazing looking bed, btw. :D

u/Rafi89 · 1 pointr/guineapigs

That's true. I wonder if something like a zippered pillowcase would work. Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Zippered-Pillow-Protector-Cotton-Standard/dp/B00BM8KC3E/ref=pd_lpo_201_lp_img_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=751SKEW432R1NK8MC0GA

Yow, that link...

This HDMI stick and a bed sheet collection to bring you in at $75.95?

u/kaidomac · 0 pointsr/Mattress

I just got a queen Zinus "Green Tea" memory foam bed. Currently $289 shipped on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q7EPSHI/

It is pretty firm. I actually ordered a 3" gel topper because of the firmness (you sleep on top rather than sinking into it), but that proved to be too squishy (the topper leaves an imprint of your body when you roll). I have a 2" topper on another bed & imo that is the right level of squish vs. firmness: (the bed is firm to the point where my side wasn't sinking in & was kind of being compressed instead, like when you lay on thin carpet when watching TV or something)

https://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Master-Memory-Topper-Queen/dp/B00FJNQBJ2/

Also, I picked up their awesome 18" tall frame:

https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-SmartBase-Foundation-Replacement-Noise-Free/dp/B017YETH8K/

TONS of storage space underneath, easy to setup (2 pieces that screw together & fold in half, lightweight & only requires one person to assemble...literally takes more time to unbox it than put it together), no noise in use, plus with the 12" Zinus bed, it's at a good height to walk up to & fall into bed. You will need a grip sheet underneath, otherwise the bed will slide off pretty easily:

https://www.amazon.com/TRU-Lite-Bedding-Slip-Mattress/dp/B01AS3HADS

I also recommend getting a waterproof sheet (goes underneath the regular sheets), as any spills will sink directly into the foam mattress & never, ever come out:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A2G9VFM/

I got these Mellanni sheets - they are thin, but feel nice:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NLNDU00

Slightly better than the Amazon Basics sheets I have on another bed. I have a plastic bin underneath the bed for storing a spare set of sheets & waterproof sheet (both are washer/dryer-safe). Total comes up to under $600 shipped for a 12" memory foam bed, 2" gel topper, 18" metal bed frame, a non-skid pad for the frame, two sets of sheets, and two waterproof mattress sheets. I was going to get a Casper or Leesa, but those were like $800 just for the bed...I got all that for $200 less, still a pretty hefty investment, but a decent deal. Other than that, you just need some pillows & a duvet or blanket on the top.

The mattress comes vacuum-sealed in a box, so you just undo it from the packaging & let it air out for a day or two to fully decompress. The frame comes in a large but thin box (two frames folded in half with some assembly hardware). I didn't have to mooch a truck off a friend or go to a mattress store or anything...ordered it all off Amazon Prime, showed up in a couple days, put it all together by myself in minutes. Easy peasy. Would definitely order another one!
