Pet Sounds was remixed in the late 90s. The 50th anniversary's (Spotify) second half has the stereo remix which is really good, though slightly different as a few tracks (small parts of songs) were lost and replaced by outtakes (I don't really notice as I've listened to the stereo most of my life)

Odyssey and the Oracle would be Awesome. It suffers some of the same issues (like the horn on This Will Be Our Year was recorded directly on the the mono master so it's not even on the old 60's stereo). Track down a copy of The Decca Stereo Anthology to get a taste of what that would be like. It's basically all their singles remixed in similar fashion to this Sgt. Pepper release.

They were probably best known for House of the Rising Sun and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, but their lesser hits are also amazing. When I Was Young is one of my favorite songs ever. I'm Crying is worth checking out - Eric's vocals on that one are powerful. They were also really good at blues standards and covers. Boom Boom and See See Rider are really good.

This is a pretty good collection.

Rubber Soul by The Beatles

The only thing that came to mind for me was the album cover for the Who album The Who Sell Out, which has Roger Daltrey sitting in a bathtub full of beans. Link You might try /r/tipofmytongue if you don't get a response on here, good luck.

This isn't really the Beatles/Tony Sheridan. It's Tony Sheridan backed up by Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Pete Best. The intial release even credited the backup group as Sheridan's usual outfit, "The Beat Brothers," because "Beatles" was too close to the word "peedles" which is German slang for a dong.

"My Bonnie"

You can find all of the tracks from these sessions on this:

These are nice curios, but nothing really essential, mostly of historical interest for being the first commercially released music that the Beatles appeared on.

Magnificent. Thank you. I always like the kinks from that album they came out with later, called to the bone, but this isn't on it and I didn't know about it.

You can pick up Live at the BBC, and it's not a bootleg.

I believe he actually meant to refer to "Best of The Beatles". I know there's an albulm for it but I can't seem to find it. For those that you don't know, Peter Best the drummer before Ringo, put out an albulm called (Peter) "Best of The Beatles"; fooling many.

|name|The Pretty Things|
|about artist|The Pretty Things are a 1960s and 1970s rock and roll band from London. They pioneered a raw approach to rhythm and blues (and later, psychedelia) that influenced a number of key bands of the 1960s British invasion, particularly The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie whose first hero was Phil May. Pretty Things was preceded by Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys which consisted of Dick Taylor, fellow Sidcup Art College student Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. This particular track is on this compilation of Joe Meek productions: http://www.amazon.com/Lets-Go-Joe-Meeks-Girls/dp/B000024M37

The rest of the disc is predictably good!

I just got The Very Best of the Tornados. It looks sketchy, but it's really, really awesome.
