You might like Jack Rudy's elderflow tonic syrup. We use it in place of normal tonic syrup in almost every instance.

Just to add to the Diet Coke & Rum --> add a slice of lime (squeezed if you want) and a few drops of that awesome thing called Angostura Bitters (most liquor stores should carry it, otherwise Amazon).
This makes a simple Rum-Coke go from "nice" to "magical".

Also OP, you can try making a Mojito without the sugar/syrup and instead use some erythritol.

I have a confession to make: I love bloody marys. Sunday morning on my front porch? Give me a pitcher. Out to brunch with friends? Sure, I'll have three (four?). I have spent YEARS ordering bloody marys, making notes on what bars and restaurants did, experimenting at home, using V8 or Tomato Juice, combining citrus and soy, worsteshire sauce and celery salt, A1, Effin Cucumber Vodka, Absolute Peppar Vodka, siracha, franks, garlic salt, pepper, salt, LOTS or horseradish, wasabi instead? why not. Making jugs of recipes days before so it could all sit together and mesh and mellow and blend, only to be mixed with vodka on a perfect sunday morning. Topped with old bay. A hollowed out all beef smokey as a straw and garnished with blue cheese or jalepeno olives.

Then, my friends, then one day I went to a new bar near my house. I ordered a bloody mary. Mere moments later she arrived. Deep red, flecks of spices and additions floating in her fragrant liquids. I took a sip. Perfection. Citrus notes mixed with a faint hit of celery salt, an earthy bittersweet note of steak sauce, a mouth coating rush of fresh tomato, a salty-hot finish and the slow burn of vodka. I ordered another. And another. Each time the arrived so quickly that I knew this magical elixir must be have been crafted by an expert's hand days prior, left to mature like a fine wine. I dared, barely audibly, to ask for the secret. The recipe. The answer to my quest. The bartender, coyly, leaned in and whispered..... "zing zang."

It's the best fucking thing I've ever had.

Good Falernum recipe...

Falernum #9

The Bitter Truth also makes a good Falernum

Golden Falernum

BG Reynolds makes a non-alcoholic Falernum syrup that is pretty tasty and available from Amazon.

Bittermens makes their ‘Elemakule Tiki Bitters that also add very similar notes to a cocktail also available via Amazon.

You seem like someone who goes through a lot of angostura. Here it is almost at cheap per oz.

u/ScariestofChewwies · 5 pointsr/ketodrunk

Sure.

Bitters (Double Pack with Orange and Regular, not in this drink but useful to have)

Low-Carb Simple Syrup

Unflavored Gin should be low carb.

The lime juice is just a fresh lime juiced and the basil is fresh as well.

Soda Water shouldn't have any carbs either. But I used this one.

Additionally, I will start including links for the ingredients I used (if they make sense).

Losing garlic has suuuuuuuucked, not gonna lie. But garlic-infused olive oil has helped a lot. (Infused oils are safe because the FODMAPs are all sugars, which aren't soluble in fats.) And I've found that the tops of green onions and chives help to replace the flavor, too.

For honey, I've found that gum syrup makes a good substitute in recipes and cocktails, although it doesn't have quite the same flavor.

So there’s this company called Bittercube in Milwaukee, WI. This is one of my favorites with mezcal. On amazon

$90! Positive for sure! Bitters!

u/K-Whitty · 2 pointsr/cocktails

The dirty little secret here is that many of us are probably trying out Angostura cocktails when we're at work ...

Also are you not able to buy it on Amazon? They have a pack of 2 for 20 bucks

u/mona_monster · 2 pointsr/ketochow

Ok, I just remembered to look it up!
Its 2 carbs per 4 oz
Here's the amazon link. I just got it at the grocery store and it's pretty yummy :)

The world should not continue to be kept from enjoying it!
The Best at Home Recipe I can offer you right now:

1 Oz. - Torani Caramel Syrup
1 Oz. - Butterscotch Schnapps
7-10 Drops - Butter Vanilla Emulsion
1 1/2 Oz. - [Cruzan 9](https://www.cruzanrum.com/rum-collection/cruzan-9-spiced-rum/)
1 Cup - Vanilla Seltzer
Blend With a Ice Until Thick

*(Dont fuck this part up and try to substitute it for some cheap caramel rum or do something stupid like make it non-alcoholic)

I dont have a recipe for you for the foam, but you wont need it, you wont have time to stop making these to focus on it anyway. You can experiment with adding Frothee or Fee Brother's Fee Foam if you think itll help, though I wont tell you what happens if you do.
Go ahead and share this if you really want, just give me some credit.

Word Of Advice: DO NOT start making these for large groups of people at barbecues unless you want to do it all night and have plenty of supplies

I don't know what the exact sugar content is, but there are plenty of artisanal quinine syrups you can use to make delicious tonic water. At least it's not HFCS and the sugar levels are lower.

I use Bitterman's Orange Cream Citrate. A few drops in a liter bottle give a pleasant orangish flavor.

Also, making your own coconut extract to replicate la croix coconut does not work. :( It just doesn't give much coconut flavor...

I make a weird take on a Mai Tai that is inspired by the Jagerita.

Basically it goes like this.

1 oz Cachaca
1 oz Jager Spice
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
1 Dash of Fallernum Bitters

Shake with rocks glass worth of ice in a shaker, pour into rocks glass, top with a float of 1 oz of Jagermeister. Voila! The Jager Mai Tai! Even looks like a Mai Tai but is a complex herbal version of it. This recipe is still evolving, I almost have it perfected, the Cachaca was a recent change from White Rum, it balances it out and gives it more character.

It's actually really good.

I know it sounds weird.

Just make it.

Trust me, it's great.

Oh my god, stop... it's a great drink, who gives a fuck if it has Jager.

And so on...

Gin & tonic, not that that will help!

This is a solid [margarita mix] (http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Swami-Bone-Daddys-Margarita/dp/B00507SMSK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367894005&sr=8-1&keywords=bone+daddy+margarita+mix). Just add tequila.

Something a little more interesting: milk and amaretto blended with ice. I forget what it's called, but it's sweet and delightful.
