You can buy cold brew bags on amazon. Game changing for me. You put the grounds in these reusable bags and let it sit so there's no need to be hand-filtering all the grounds out or for you to be drinking sludge

Does anyone have any experience using anything like this? If so, does it taste good and would it be worth getting for cold brew in the summer time?

I use this and it's really awesome. Not sure if this is what you are looking for : Coffee Gator Cold Brew Coffee Maker - BPA-Free Filter and Glass Carafe - Brewing Kit with Stainless Steel Measuring Scoop and Collapsible Loading Funnel - Black - 47 ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KZEO6HI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BC8CDbPK75JR8

my friends love when I make a quite similar recipe, I split 3 whole beans (amazon.com bulk pack of 10, then make my own vanilla extract out of the rest and give it as gifts) and toss them into secondary for 2 weeks if bottling, or wrap them in a stocking add a cork so it floats and then keg (kegs never last more than 6 months but developed no foul flavors).
I cold brew coffee using this bad boy- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002CS8A9Q/?tag=azde0d-20 and usually put in about .5lb ground coffee to make 16 ounces. I add about 8 oz then adjust taste after that by adding 1 oz per day if I want more but typically 8 is just dandy. My ABV is only 6.5% so you might need more as yours is a bit stronger.

I would be gentle with the bourbon because well a little can go a long way and would suggest toasted oak chips.

Cheers

I like cold drip personally. Give something like this a try if you're looking to use higher end coffees for something with a cleaner sweeter more delicate flavor. Toddy extractions can make great coffee taste brackish, malty and plain. I have something like this and love it.

I used to do the Tupperware thing but it was a pain. I have this pitcher at work that I like a lot (Zell Cold Brew Coffee Maker | Best Home Iced Coffee & Tea Maker with Removable Coffee Fine Mesh Filter | Strong Borosilicate Glass Cold Coffee Maker | https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HIT3WPA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_iCuQUUHLtQyOS). I also have the Takeya plastic one that's good but was slightly more expensive for my at-home brewing.
