I have a travel bottle lanyard for going to the showers. It’s great, you can just hang it from the shower head and not worry about fumbling around for your little shampoo bottles. The one I linked is the one I have and it’s $20, but here’s a cheaper one that I found today.

I own this bag in a smaller version. They also make plastic containers but I personally prefer the soft fabric ones.

I keep my toners and face mist in these little spray bottles but they're glass, so you may want to look for plastic if that's a concern for you. They spray a very fine mist if you put something super watery in them, and my thicker HL moist toner comes out as more of a stream. For oil cleanser and serums/essence these are great. For my thicker creams and moisturizers I use squeeze bottles that empty at the bottom so gravity helps it along. I got mine from the travel section at Target but they're similar to these Good luck packing and I hope you have a fun trip!

Look at travel containers for shampoo, lotion, etc.

I only carry around 2-3 pills while out and about, so I use a small jar from a leftover air travel toiletries kit, similar to the ones shown here.

First, if you have any space on the walls, use these Ikea Spice Racks to store less used items. They have to be assembled so you can paint them however you like! They look like this all hung up and pretty. It looks nice because the stuff is off of your countertops and neatly tucked away!

Next, find thee some acrylic makeup drawers. You can get them on ebay. Something like this
There are also acrylic lipstick holders.

For brushes, I really love this cup holder thing. You can close it up and it'll look really organized and not cluttered. I've seen people use pyrex beakers or mason jars with clear marbles and stick their brushes in in those as well.

Good luck and thanks for hosting!

I just went through this! Was keeping my ever expanding collection in a bag, but when I added a stamping obsession I had to organize them! I got this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XYXNLH7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ac59AbSAE2HKB) on Amazon and it works perfectly! Fits my nail polish bottles (the opi ones are a bit tight) and has a pocket on the top for my tools and stamping plates!
If you don't like this one it seemed like a lot of essential oil carriers would work for nail polish storage as well!

swing by your local TJ maxx or marshalls or walgreens type store and look for something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Miamica-Clear-Compliant-Security-Plane/dp/B00ITI57VW

you really only need those small pots in there. That's what i put my moisturizer in when i went to Canada :))

No! no reason at all. I packed my purse away in my carry on, and used a large bag thats actually a really chic diaper bag that totally passes as a large purse as my personal item, and put my laptop, tablet, etc in it as well as my makeup, etc. You just won't be able to bring on your carry on luggage, laptop bag AND a purse.

You can always get other little bags to organize them into categories/groups. I use cosmetic bags like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Multifunction-Travel-Cosmetic-Organizer-Toiletry/dp/B00R4238F6/ref=sr_1_7_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1463551763&sr=8-7&keywords=makeup+bag) in my purse to organize a lot of small things in my bag.

For cables, like headphones, I actually use a very small hair clip or rubber band to keep all the wires from tangling up once I put them in the smaller bag after I roll them up. I've seen some people use twist ties matching the color of the cables to help keep them from getting tangled up in their bags.

I use containers that basically look like this: http://www.amazon.com/Squeezable-Refillable-Bag-Travel-Accessories-Containers/dp/B014GLTG8U

Nothing bursts and nothing leaks. Yay for coconut oil while travelling!

You could get him a TicketMaster gift card so he can choose the event :)

Some other ideas are a bottle of wine or an aerator. Also, some spices, a travel adapter or router, or a hanging travel case.

When I was buying my little acrylic go carry-all for my perfumes, I checked out a few jewelry boxes. They had soft fabric padded sections that you could press your vial into. The only reason I did not go with them is because once you stick your vial into it you can't see what it is unless the name is on the top. And they all had lids, so no tall bottles.

Then there's this

This one isn't bad either.

This is similar, more compartments

And this can be stacked horizontally or vertically

Of course, if you need something the size of a China cabinet, none of these will do. I hope I never get to that place.

Second these.

I use the small bottle kit and absolutely no leaks after 50,000 miles+ this year.

You can also get them from Amazon.

Dude, no problems, keep the questions coming!

Those packing cubes do look great and yeah, they save you a ton of time and I thought I was a good packer but it's not the initial packing that you have to worry about - it's all subsequent packing jobs mid-trip. Packing cubes are excellent for minimizing stuff when you're in a rush. Instead of pulling everything out and then dumping it back in you just pull out the one bag with the item you need. I tend to organize mine kind of by clothing type (shirts in one, pants in one) but also I keep one that's "running shit" or any specific outfit I want to keep together.

I do actually have strong opinions about my toiletry bag because I always buy a clear one and keep my liquids in it. Like this because then you can just set it down and not have to take things out if you're using carry on only. Also, I bought these because I keep my toiletries on a lanyard so a) it's harder to forget them in hotel bathrooms, b) no more doing the bend and snap to get shampoo. But again, I only travel with carry on stuff so keeping things security-friendly is a big one for me. I keep the rest of my makeup (even some liquids, they don't ever seem to care...) in a cloth bag but I also go super minimal on this in general but especially when traveling. I brought like all the makeup I own to Vienna since my friend wanted to play with it before NYE and I regretted it so hard. Keep it simple.
