You can definitely go way deeper with a canister and a carton of chargers.
I personally find it's too expensive and kind of boring on its own, but if you mix it with weed, any other disso, or any psyche, it's a great time. It's better for the occasional boost than anything else.
If you're gonna spring for the gear I'd recommend a good full metal canister off of amazon. Dealing with pressurized gas is always dangerous and plastic components are pretty notorious for wearing out and flying off. This is the one I use now:

You can get the nangs off amazon, too. There are cheaper options on ebay but folks report greasy/oily residue in some of the bulk orders and off-brands. Ultra-Purewhip is my go-to.

They do indeed. Reusable containers like this for example. They use nitrous cartridges, just like the C02 cartridges you might buy for a BB gun.
You have two options.
Option A) cracker + balloons + chargers
Option B) dispenser + chargers
Personally I prefer option B. You could also use balloons with B, but they are not required. Dispensers can be used for making whip cream, so you might find them in normal stores, but crackers are ONLY used for inhaling nitrous, so you'll probably only find them online or in smoke shops. Personally I bought a whip cream dispensor off amazon, then just buy 50 packs of chargers from the smoke shop when I want them.

You should find results if you search for "whippet cracker". It might not be on Amazon because I think the only use is for putting nitrous gas into a balloon to inhale. The smoke shop in my neighborhood sells the device though, so that'd be worth a try.

It's one of those oddball kitchen gadgets that is somewhat expensive & niche, and has annoying recurring fees for the different cartridges, but you'll find yourself using it all the time for weird little projects...custom sodas, homemade whipped creams (dairy & non-dairy), modernist techniques like foams, etc.
If you're the type of person who likes to tinker in your kitchen & have the budget available, then it's a super-fun toy (tool) to have in your inventory. I use this & my Searzall on a weekly basis for all kinds of random stuff! I can dig up a list of things to try if you're looking for ideas!

Personally I haven't been able to find anything in my town for the price/size I wanted. The smoke shops I went to only had cheap plastic ones or the Whip-it! brand which I hear tend to break faster than others. The bakery shops only had the super Premium dispensers for like $70-90.

The threads on the actual dispenser should be metal... not fucked. The threads on your charger holder are the culprit. You can get a new one for a few bucks.
I have 3 cups of coffee every morning, each with 0.5 Tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream.
A few months ago I also bought one of these: I mix a pint of HWC together with 1 fl oz Swerve Confection sugar substitute, a Tbsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of almond extract, each time I fill it.
After that, I sprinkle cinnamon on top.
