I am a huge fan of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery. It's super hydrating and soothing, with glycerin as the second ingredient. It does have hyaluronic acid, however. It also has colloidal oatmeal, propolis extract, licorice root and white tea extract. This stuff is absolutely HG for me.

I'd use the BHA before as it can be drying, this way the HA will help to moisturize it after.

I like to use a brumisateur facial spray to wet my face just before putting the HA, I use this one
