Simple Micellar Cleansing Water: $22.99 - Lasts me ~3 months

Cereve Hydrating Cleanser $12.39

Thayer's Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner: $6.99 - Lasts me ~4 months

TruSkin Vitamin C Serum: $19.99 - Lasts me ~4 months

Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF 15: $8.11 - Lasts me ~5 months

Simple Quench Sleeping Cream: $9.96

The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%: $7.90

Jack Black Lip Balm: $7.50

I'm sure there's variations in price based on where you get it and if amazon is having sales/add ons etc. Total is about $110 if you went out and bought all the products at once or roughly $20 a month. Totally reasonable imo!

EDIT: Bad math, sorry, I needed to count the Micellar water twice since it doesn't last me as long as the other products. Totals are estimates.

EDIT #2: Forgot the CereVe cleanser so I added that in as well. Some of the items don't have estimated time frames of how long it takes me to use up because I've never used them up.

This was my first time ever buying from PinkSeoul, and I am really impressed with their Mystery Box and the quality and value! I will definitely be buying one of these Mystery Boxes from them again! I think for anyone wanting to try out some new AB items, they send FULL SIZE quality items in this box for about half the cost! Honestly, this was such an amazing deal, I just want to spread the word and show what sorts of items you might get inside the boxes.

Leaders sheet mask - Coconut Gel with Blueberry (~$2.50/$4)

Leaders sheet mask - Collagen Boosting Renewal (~$2.50/$4)

Tony Moly - Banana Hand Milk 45 ml (~$10) - I tried this when I first opened up the box, because it was just so adorable! I smells like Banana! The hand milk/cream is nice too, but my only issue is that it seems to take a lot of it to moisten my hands, and there's not very much in the little squeezable plastic banana. I might get maybe ten uses out of this. It seems like this would be a really cute/cool gift for a young girl or teenager though!

Skin&Lab - Red Cream 50 ml (~$30) - I tried this last night. The first thing I noticed was that the jar is about half full when you open it. I checked reviews on Amazon, and this seems to be normal, and something others noted/complained of. It has a very strong, natural scent of roses, like you are smelling a real rose right under your nose. It is very thick and sticky, and should likely be used as a sleeping mask, which is how I used it. I didn't notice much effect on my skin in the morning, but I have only used it once so far so I will have to see if it offers more effect with more use. The smell is really amazing though if you love roses. / Update: I tried this cream again, and figured out how to work it. You only need a really tiny amount, thin it in your hands, and then pat it on. It worked great when less was used and then it wasn't so sticky feeling.

RiRe - Essential Hydrogel Mask Pack 75ml (~12) - This is a Hydrogel Mask in a spray bottle. I used it after my toners this morning. I love that it is a spray, which makes applying it so easy. So far it seems really nice.

Elizavecca Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic acid Serum 50 ml (~$10) - No scent. I applied to my face after toner this morning, and it is light on the skin without any tackiness. My skin seems to have absorbed it well.

Total value ~67

This is my first time trying everything in this box, and I'm enjoying the experience of trying these all out, and so far I like all of them. I will try to report back on how they perform on my skin the more I use them.

I realized a while ago that I have to apply my moisture in layers. So yes I do use a ton of moisture products, but my skin has proper hydration and a consistent moisture barrier that no active has ever been able to penetrate.

OP I would stop washing your face unless maybe once at night, and only oil cleansing. Oil cleanses oil. Your face doesn’t need extreme cleansing or other cleansing products.

I would spray with a moisturizing toner (there are a million, choose one that you like) then layer 1-2 layers of a hyaluronic Acid over your face when it’s wet with Toner. I like Korean brands, like this one and this one. Then layer that with a snail mucus which sounds awful but it’s crazy hydrating, like this one. Layer that with a gel, like this. Then a cream like this one and finally a sleeping mask like this one. Bonus points for applying a wet sheet mask over it for 30 minutes.

It seems absolutely extra and I personally wish I could slap on a moisturizer and call it a night but it’s the only way to truly hydrate and nourish the moisture barrier.

>1.What do I look out for to know if my routine is working or not, and how long do I give it?

Obligatory add new products one at a time so you can pinpoint any issues to one product. Just look for any changes, positive or negative. Does your skin feel softer, more glowy? Good! Do you notices issues (like acne or dryness) are hanging around for shorter periods of time? Good! Do you have any stinging or prolonged redness from products? Bad! New weird acne? Bad!

Honestly, I don't ever inspect my skin, even when introducing new products. I find that inspecting my skin for any changes will get me too caught up in everything, and I won't be able to see the forest through the trees. I introduce a product, and I keep using it, and usually any benefits or negatives will be very noticeable. I'll wake up and go, "Wow! My skin is really soft!" or a couple days later I'll go "Wow, this is way more acne than usual." And if nothing really happens? Meh. 3/5 stars, off to find a better product! Listen to your skin, but don't interrogate it. Skin is always fluctuating anyway.

I give new products about a week to show me any problems. Sometimes, if it's not clear if a new breakout is from a product or just my face being my face, I'll give it longer - 2 weeks, 3 weeks even. It usually becomes clear through time. If the issues go away within a normal timeframe, I know it's just my face being inconvenient with timing. If they don't, I drop the product and see if that helps.

> 2.Suggestions for moisturizers and sunscreens and also foundations that won't break me out and that will help with (or at least not hurt) wrinkles and acne scars?

Any of the ones on the sidebar. I personally like CeraVe Baby Lotion, 40 Carrots Night Cream, Pond's Creams, and I have my eye on CosRx Honey Ceramide Cream (also sold at Ulta!)

I use Biore Watery Gel, but I've heard EltaMD UV Clear, Coola Mineral Matte Tint, and Canmake Mermaid Skin UV are all good.

Not sure about foundations - I use L'Oreal True Match Lumi with no issues, I know The Ordinary just came out with a foundation line, and I've heard people with sensitive skin / acne prone skin sing praises for Clinique.

Not sure if these products will help all that much for wrinkles or acne scars - I look for concentrated actives to target issues rather than all-in-one products because I'm not entirely convinced that, say, a moisturizer containing retinol would have a high enough concentration of retinol to be effective.

>I really like both and have no idea how to compare or know/tell which is best for my skin.

Sometimes products can really be just about equal in terms of performance, especially with moisturizers. Just use em both interchangeably honestly - as long as your skin feels good and moisturized, and there's no negative reactions, they're doing what they're supposed to do. Over time you might realize one leaves your skin feeling better than the other, but there's no harm in taking a while to discern differences like that.

>Should I do my routine for a few months before adding in other products or should I do this kit once a week on top of everything?

Follow your routine. Skin craves routine. Then you can add in parts of the kit if you like them.

>have this same question regarding a mint julep mask and some bentonite clay powder I have.

Same as above, although I imagine that doing a mask once a week won't stress or confuse your skin too much, so really whatever you want. Personally, I'd like to get familiar with my routine so that it becomes comfortable before I add in new things.

>I guess I just don't when when is enough and when is too much switching it up for my skin to be able to relax?

Skin craves routine. I only introduce one new product at a time, everything else is boring and old and what I've done for a while. This matters less for things like moisturizers, but still matters. Even if I have things in rotation - like three moisturizers that I choose from depending on what's going on with my skin that day - I've still used those products a lot, and am familiar and comfortable with them.

A routine should be gentle and pampering and focused on self-care, but not too exciting imo. I mean, it can still be exciting in a certain sense, but you don't want to try out a million different products at once and stress out your skin.

You want to find your workhorses first - your HG cleaner, your HG moisturizer, your HG sunscreen. The products you come back to time and time again. You want to find them to build your foundation, then worry about all the extras.

Take your time, this isn't a race. Focus on building a relationship with your skin and working with it rather than throwing a lot of products at it and battling it. You're both on the same side here - be gentle and listen to your skin.

Why does your 11 year old need anti-aging product to reduce wrinkles and organic spa kits for moms/pregnancy?

These lists make no sense. I’m quite concerned here.

u/virstulte · 3 pointsr/wicked_edge

Morning Routine:

Take shower. Use conditioner [1] on beard as well as hair. Shampoo/condition early in shower, allow conditioner to soak in while washing body. Rinse conditioner out of hair as the LAST THING you do.

Apply day cream [2] to non-shaved areas of my face before shaving to lock in shower moisture. Use liberally, allow to soak into skin over shave.

Head straight to sink, apply MR GLO [3] to wet face by rubbing the bar on my whiskers, massage in with fingers (no washrag) for ~30 sec with hot water. Rinse 70% of it off, leaving no lather but keeping the slickness.

Normal lather/shave [4].

Rinse, pat dry, apply Witch Hazel [5] with Cotton Rounds. Let sit while I clean up the sink.

Rub in mostly dried off WH, apply Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm [6].

Evening Routine:

Take shower.

While conditioning hair, use gentle exfoliant [7] on face (daily).

Leave shower, pat face dry, apply extra hydrating night cream [8] to face.

Add extra body lotion [9] to behind ears, back of neck, and other dry areas like elbows, knees, shoulders. Dry neck and behind the ears is not to be neglected.

Use Retinol anti-aging night cream [10] on areas to prevent wrinkles, such as smile lines, crow's feet, under eyes, and forehead. A little goes a long way.

Sleep, repeat.

Note: I'm only 27, but you can never start anti-aging skincare too young. I wish I would've started it sooner. If I would have started this regimen at 18, I might not have the hint of crow's feet that I do. Remember that, you young'ins. It's expensive, but your face will thank you later.

Products Used:

  1. Organix Argan Oil of Morocco shampoo/conditioner
  2. Neutrogena Deep Moisture Day Cream SPF 20
  3. MR GLO Orange Amber
  4. Stirling Coniferous (if this counts)
  5. Thayer's Unscented Witch Hazel
  6. Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm
  7. Yes To Carrots Nourishing Exfoliating Cleanser
  8. Yes To Carrots Nourishing Repairing Night Cream
  9. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
  10. Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer - Night

edit: it should be noted that I shave daily. Even sundays, haha. I avoid trouble spots ATG, where I'm prone to sensitivity, mostly the bottom half of my neck, where I only ATG one small patch by my Adam's apple. The skin is tougher there.

double edit: Don't worry about being Bateman. You almost never find someone who has a beautiful face that doesn't put in that much effort. A few of my friends (San Francisco, mind you) use concealer and a light facial powder to get rid of some shine and even out color, myself included on occasion. You can hardly tell if you use Physician's Formula mineral powder as a very light coat. Nobody will ever know, and you'll be WAY more attractive. Not kidding you, the stuff is invisible, but does its job.

I guarantee you, especially famous people wear makeup all the time so they can be photo-ready. Normal plebians like you and I are no exception.

This was my gateway drug into AB after thesunscreen and is still my every day moisturizer. So clean feeling and non irritating, not a heavy moisturizer but perfect for every day. I got it on amazon, reasonably priced and it came with a couple travel sizes and some travel size rose toner: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074JY8Y1F?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I have dry skin and I use milk cleansers since they're more moisturizing. Here's a list of all of the ones I'm aware of:

u/PhantomDream09 · 2 pointsr/RedPillWives

Not in my 30's yet, but I have been using L'oreal Collagen. It's cheap, not too heavy, doesn't make me break-out, or irritate my skin. Next time I may try something a bit more expensive, but I'm not sure.

Hello!

I've been lurking on this subreddit for a few months, and while it's helped me put together a routine, I feel like there's more I can do to improve my skin!

To start, here are some pictures! https://imgur.com/a/0JLlV

I'm 31 (32 soon!), and I THINK I have normal/dry skin. Sometimes it feels tight or flaky in the morning, before I wash and moisturize. Overall my face is soft, but there's a tiny bit of roughness. I have the occasional breakout (around nose/chin), but it's never more than one or two whiteheads, and they usually go away after a few days.

My main concern is REDNESS, as well as whatever's going on with my forehead.

The pictures are after I've been up for a while, before I wash my face. This is about how my face looks normally, and I'd really like to reduce the blotches and have a more even skintone. My forehead is a little bumpy, with red spots.

Here's my routine!

AM

Splash some cold water

[MILK Makeup Matcha Toner

Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray

Cerave PM

Shiseido Senka Aging Care UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++

PM

Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser

MILK Makeup Matcha Toner

Stridex Red (Brush teeth while it dries)

Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray

LUSH Full of Grace serum

Cerave PM

Every once in a while I'll use the FOMO jelly mask from LUSH.
I also have this diy mask powder from WitchBaby that I haven't tried yet, but I was thinking about mixing it with Aloe.

I used the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion like, once. It didn't really do much for the pimple I had, but it could be because it rubbed off. Maybe I'd have better luck if I slapped a hydrocolloid bandage over it after it dries?

I WAS mixing Acure Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil (new formula) with my moisturizer for a couple weeks, and it made my face feel GREAT, but I started getting more breakouts than usual, in spots that I don't normally break out.

I also tried using CosRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid every other day (alternating with Stridex Red) for about a month, and stopped because I didn't see much difference and I got tired of waiting 20mins to finish my routine.

I've been doing this since early January, and I haven't really seen much improvement. I really like to keep things simple (my PM routine is already on that border of being too much!), so I'd rather replace parts of my routine with things that could work out better, than add to it, unless it's super necessary.

I'm thinking about replacing the Matcha toner (which is kind of meh to me) and the MB spray with some Thayer's witch hazel (cucumber or rose?). I really like the MB spray because it makes it easier to apply moisturizer, but if I can do the same thing with Thayer's (in a spray bottle) then it'd be nice to combine the two steps into one product. And it'd be cheaper!

I'd like to add some sort of oil (rosehip seed? squalane?) that I can just mix with my moisturizer. I liked doing it with the Acure, but something about it broke me out.

I was also considering using Azelaic Acid instead of Stridex. If I did that, my choices would be either TO or Melazepam since I'm in the US.

I was also looking into the possibility of using Curology as a way to just mix all that good stuff into one product.

I'm very lazy.

Anyways, this ended up being REALLY long! I probably should have made this its own post, but I figured I'd try the daily help thread first!

Thanks for any advice!

I’d bet money on them using a single container of this: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Overnight Gel Cream Face Mask with Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, 0.3 fl. oz (Pack of 12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H54F49/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Vc3yDbVFD41WX
Go to a drug store and buy one for 2 bucks, see if it smells the same.

u/jess7ewellness · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Have you considered that you may have a food allergy? That's what it ended up being for me! I struggled with acne from elementary school (believe it or now) until about six months ago when I experimented with taking dairy out of my diet. I was eating yogurt for breakfast daily and when I switched to a different type of protein (eggs/turkey bacon/etc) in my breakfast instead I noticed a reduction of acne almost immediately. I also noticed my inflammation and overall skin health chilled out when I used Murad overnight detox moisturizer.

Not the OP, but YAY! Another Mature (dry/sensitive - all of which seem go hand-in-hand) There aren't many of us around here :/ I might have to post-stalk you.

The Bonajour is this: https://smile.amazon.com/Bonajour-Green-Water-fl-oz-100ml/dp/B01MTX67M2/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=Bonajour+Water+Bomb&qid=1562603981&s=gateway&sr=8-8 ?

It's an emulsion, or something similar?

We're looking for Night protocol and finding a few products and prices (1, 2) Do you have a link by chance? :)

u/ashleyn09 · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

Looks like the innisfree sold out quickly. I actually signed up for this for $2 the other day. You kind of have to keep an eye out for the ab.

u/Chaos6779 · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I had a similar problem with lotions that were too occlusive (containing petrolatum or left a film on my skin) and found the shea butter-based moisturizers to be the solution.

The switch from [Neosporin Eczema Essentials] (https://www.amazon.com/Neosporin-Eczema-Essentials-Daily-Moisturizing/dp/B0067JF8CI/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13C4KRW81IGTW&keywords=neosporin+eczema+essentials&qid=1569785749&s=gateway&sprefix=neopsorin+e%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-4) to Cetaphil Redness Relieving Moisturizer certainly helped me.

u/cannono · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Thanks, those look like good Retinol moisturizers, though ideally there would be no fragrance. Even more ideally, there would be a disclosure of how much Retinol is in them. Also, what’s the difference (most concerned with Retinol efficacy) between that Neutrogena option and this one: Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturize

u/purple_cats · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I just got a new PM moisturizer to try, and then realized it contains retinol! The moisturizer is 40 carrots sleep cream (link). It doesn't say how much retinol is in it, but says it is very gentle. I already use vitamin c (AM) and alternate stridex and azaelic acid at night. Would using a moisturizer with retinol cause any issues with these actives? This page says there shouldn't be an issue, but I still wanted to check with people here.
