If you really want a basic four function, I recommend the Casio MX-8B. $11.50 on Amazon.

The Casio MX-8B has large, high quality keys, a large display, and because it is solar/battery, the LR44 button cell battery will last for at least five years for a typical user. The Casio JW-200 and HP12C calcs recommended elsewhere on this page are both fine calculators but have more features that the basic four functions you specified.
HOWEVER...
I am now going to try to talk you out of using a basic four function.
The Calculated Industries Model 4019 Material Estimator is allowed in the exam, is super high quality, and will be something that you will find to be an invaluable tool when you actually start working a job. $26.17 on Amazon and Home Depot.

Note: Many home builders who do a lot of stair work prefer the Calculated Industries Model 4065 Construction Master Pro, but I am not sure that one is allowed in the exam.

There are white and red variants of the ALPSulator on Amazon Japan via third party sellers. You'd have to use a forwarding service like Tenso or Zenmarket.
More like accessing and modifing the software of the calculator.
Example of such a calculator:

I used a Texas Instruments BA II Plus.
It's quite a bit more expensive than a regular scientific calculator like the Casio, but I think it was nearer £27 when I got it.
Its advantage is that it'll handle cash flow calculations. The BA stands for Business Analyst, so it has some financial functions built in. Once you get your head around the procedure, it makes it easy to work out things like NPV and IRR.
Whether saving a few seconds on a couple of questions is worth the additional cost is up to you.
There is a Pro version that has more financial functions, but it's even more expensive. I've also read a few comments about the keys on the Pro model being harder to operate.
There's also the Fiamo ABA10, which is touted as a clone of the TI BA II Plus. It's a lot cheaper, and it certainly looks very similar to the TI. It might be worth doing some research on that one.
unfortunately, its not an advanced calculator. just a basic calc that switches to 10-key number pad. It does have calculate/send functionality, which I find pretty useful for some situations.
I did a quick search and it looks like the link I ordered from is no longer in stock. Not positive if it exists elsewhere in the amazon.co.jp realm though. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0044WWDL4
If im reading right, there might still be a red one available, but i could be mistaken. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/offer-listing/B0041OYYS0/
