I got mine at bass pro shop but this is the same reel
It’s a Yongzhi 5/6 reel i bought off amazon just to try out. It was pretty cheap but i am impressed with it. The drag is a little big inconsistent. I also can’t find the reel in stock anywhere anymore but here’s the link https://www.amazon.com/YONGZHI-Fishing-Left-Handed-CNC-Machined-Aluminum/dp/B07F5DM1NX
I use reel oil, works fine and one bottle lasts forever.
this one
When i take my knives apart I:
Clean them with CVS Health 91% Isopropyl Alcohol
Cover the inside of the liners and with SKYDD treatment oil
And then in places were lube is needed apply some Daiwa Reel Oiler 64110100 with Needle Dispenser
Nothing fancy, nothing expensive. Now sharpening, that can get expensive. How much would you want to spend?
If I had $250 to spend I'd buy this rod and this reel(I have a thing for baitcasters, some people don't).. I currently have an older abu reel and I've had no problems with it last year or this year. As for the rod, I go with really experienced guys and they all have St. Croix reels, and swear by them.
I'd spool up with 50lb braid minimum as mainline with a 20-25lb mono leader.

Tackle Bag: (Edit: after reading your post again I see that you already have a tackle bag but I will leave this in anyways) I'm not sure what size bag you are looking for but I got one of these in yesterday from Cabelas that is currently on sale for $60 that I really like: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Rapala-reg-Tackle-Bag/2125652.uts
Reel: This will depend a lot on how much you want to spend on the reel but the Abu Garcia Revo S is a nice upgrade from your Silvermax. Other than an occasional eBay deal I've not seen it cheaper than the $110 Amazon is selling it for. https://amzn.com/B00927037M With your budget you could probably purchase a couple of them if you wanted to have more reels on hand.
Sure bud,

As with all Ultralight the cheaper you go the heavier it gets. But this combo will weigh around 5-6 total oz more thana tenkara and you won't be limited in casting distance, drag power, or lure selection.
Sorry for the formatting, on mobile.
You can get a Lews mach 1J for $77 on Amazon. EBay always has good prices. Look at Academy and cablelas for clearance sales. Dicks has a lot of sales.
I have 2 Lews bb1 inshore reels. I liked it so much I bought another when it went on clearance. Been using for over 5 years and it is my go to reel.
Going to be picking up a Shimano FX4000 for crappie and bass during the day/night.

Fathom II Level Wind:20 Left Hand is $115 on Amazon. I bought one from Amazon and it came a day later.

Appears to be in stock and deliver this week unless I’m missing something?
The abu garcia ambassadeur 6500 c3 cost $120 and is a great reel. It holds a lot of line, is durable as hell, and is easy to maintain. Here's a link to it http://www.amazon.com/gp/product//B000CSSRPK/ref=twister_dp_update?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know it's not spinning reel, but I think it's a great option you should consider.
Looks like a new lowest amazon price, about 40% off msrp. Essentially a budget Battle 2
Also here is the 4000 model for $36.11
I went with a Daiwa Tatula LT 6.2:1 Left/Right Hand Spinning Fishing Reel - TALT2000D-XH on the same series rod and am pleased
You can't go wrong with a Penn Battle or Penn Spinfisher V. I personally own the Spinfisher and they're solid as can be. For sharks and rays grab a 6000 or 7000. For trout, snapper, and the like grab a 4000.
As for a rod, look in the 6-7 foot range. Star Rods, Shimanos, and Penn all make quality products. And you can't go wrong with going to your local tackle shop and asking for advice. It's hard to match a rod and reel without feeling it, so I actually strongly recommend checking them out.
Yeah I figured. Thanks dude! Also too, Its on amazon for $99!
rod and reel. That combo will handle any fish at the pier and will leave you enough money to get braid to go with it.
