We use futon covers for all of our futons (from Japan). Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015QJFPBS/ref=twister_B015QJPDJM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 You could also sew two sheets together on 3 sides and put some buttons on the 4th side.
