It looks a lot like those Himalayan Salt Lamps, so I'm wondering if it could just be a sphere of pink salt.
also if you wanted to pull off a similar vibe but didnt want the "lit" sign then you could pick up a salt lamp

My Himalayan Salt Lamp is my favorite item in my home. It looks cool, comes from the earth, and gives off gentle light. Plus the one I have (and linked to) is also an essential oil diffuser: put a couple drops of essential oil in the holder, turn on the lamp, and not only is your home lit up, but smells good to.
