I'd definitely just buy the full touch controller kit that comes with both controllers and a camera for $99 USD. https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch-pc/dp/B01BHMS88A

u/livemau5 · 10 pointsr/GamePhysics

If you own a Vive then you already have the controllers. But if you're on Oculus or OSVR you'll have to buy them separately. I don't think you can buy Vive controllers yet but there's also Oculus Touch and Leap Motion, though Leap requires you to have your hands in front of your headset to work. HTC is also working on improved controllers that can sense individual fingers, but personally I've had no issues manipulating objects in VR space with the current controller solutions we have. I

tl;dr: Buy the Oculus Touch controllers if you don't have a Vive.

u/Bychop · 6 pointsr/oculus

I can't believe this. Oculus can't do this. It's illegal.
I order the bundle WITH the Xbox one Controller. If I don't get what I order, I want compensation.

[EDIT]: I ordered July 11 on Amazon a few days before the new bundle announcement. I have two link in my command details:

Headset: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00VF0IXEY/ref=pe_3034960_233709270_TE_item

Touch: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01BHMS88A/ref=pe_3034960_233709270_TE_item

On the product page, it's clearly say: Included Oculus Remote and Xbox One controller.

In the last hour or so the 64Gb model has appeared on Amazon UK search results: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Oculus-Quest-All-Gaming-System/dp/B07P6RJ39C/

No 128Gb availble (yet as of 11am UK time)

This is just a list of Oculus articles, not a store where Oculus sells this.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01BHMS88A/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

There is no official Oculus listing. You can't blame them for this.

u/jimrooney · 4 pointsr/oculus

Amazon blurb:
Touch ships with an additional Sensor to ensure accurate, robust tracking. The controllers are wireless so you can move and interact freely in the virtual world

Seems pretty black and white... yes. It comes with a sensor.

u/VRMilk · 3 pointsr/oculus

amazon.com specifically mentions the two as preorder bonuses, requiring a code to be sent out.

E: Oculus blog says DaB free for Touch, no mention of preordering.

E: VRSC bundled with all preorders.

Blog for Touch pre-order launch also says

>"Touch ships globally on December 6, and you can pre-order now for $199 USD.* It comes with a second sensor and a Rock Band VR connector. Plus, all pre-orders (including retail pre-orders) come bundled with The Unspoken and VR Sports Challenge so you can cast spells and throw touchdown passes on day one."

So some stuff mentioned as free, others specifically mentioned as preorder bundled.

3dRudder Foot Motion Controller for VR and PC Games and Applications with VR Mode, Foot Keyboard Mode, Foot Mouse Mode, Foot Joystick Mode https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS26PFK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_d18YCbMJ3NAAV

WTF $150 makes no sense, BRAND NEW $100 + comes with a extra rift sensor. https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch-pc/dp/B01BHMS88A/

u/schrauger · 3 pointsr/oculus

Direct link to Amazon. I accidentally copied my SD post link to this Reddit post instead of Amazon's.

This is even cheaper than the $90 sale from 4 days ago.

I already need a cable longer than 15ft (5m), so the loss of the included usb extender in the sensor doesn't really affect me.

u/Jun1orDemiGod · 2 pointsr/Vive

Sure, Oculus Quest, standalone VR, you don't need a PC

u/psmfthrowaway · 2 pointsr/oculus

I posted this a few weeks back but I wouldn't look at the price of a 3rd sensor so much as the price of a 3rd sensor and a backup set of touch controllers.

https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch/dp/B01BHMS88A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503957957&sr=8-1&keywords=oculus+touch+controller

Click into the additional sellers area and you will find plenty of sellers with good feedback scores selling touch box sets for $75-85 tax free and you get a third sensor in the box. depending on how aggressively you play VR, I've traded paint a handful of times with my wall already and its only a amtter of time until I break a controller so for $80 when I bought mine it was a great deal.

u/d-tomoyo · 2 pointsr/oculus

I am trying to buy 3rd sensor, and I thought why not just buy spare controller and sensor? and I came across this answer. is sensor no longer part of controller package?

u/FredH5 · 2 pointsr/oculus

The first one comes with an Xbox Controller and the second one comes with the Touch Controllers, which are the best VR controllers on the market.

You want the Touch controllers but you could buy the first item and buy the Touch controllers separate for $100. That way you get an Xbox controller and you save $40.

This is the link for the Touch controllers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BHMS88A

I might consider if they offer a free trial or they sell it on Amazon. The PC 3DRudder is on Amazon

There is no free trial because:

  • 3DRudder customers pay return shipping expenses unless the product is defective.
  • 3Drudder has a 15 day return policy. I can't find the return policy or warranty information on their website.
  • 3DRudder charges for shipping.
  • and from the Knowledge base:

I tried your product but I am not convinced. May I return it?

Literally in stock on amazon right now until they run out again

u/wordyplayer · 2 pointsr/oculus

i hear ya. But, that really is the price of early adoption with ANY gadget. There will always be improvements, and you should accept that going in, when you spend the BIG BUCKS for being an early adopter. Is money too tight to spend the $100? https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch/dp/B01BHMS88A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1505151431&sr=8-2&keywords=rift+touch

they really are cool to use, and are becoming more of a necessity now, as you pointed out...

Need more info on what your existing Rift setup is like (I'm guessing you only have the Rift headset with 1 sensor?).

If you only have the Rift headset and 1 sensor, then buying the "Touch Controller Bundle" will include 2 Touch controllers (Left and Right hands) and 1 additional sensor. Thus giving you a total of 2 sensors. But yes, to use Touch controllers, you must have at least 2 sensors.

Here are some Touch Controller bundles

The Oculus Touch controllers are fully tracked (6DoF) controllers, the xbox360 simply doesn't have the hardware capability to emulate them.

But good news! Touch is only $99 and is sold on Amazon Prime, so you can have it within a few days.

You can't search for it but the link now works, and shows the 64Gb version too.

There are some solutions out there, here is one called Nolo, I have no idea how well it works, but it can be used with a gear or a Go.

200 dollars new for the Touch controllers
https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch-Pc/dp/B01BHMS88A

I don't have them though, just the headset kit

I believe all Touch controllers (except for service replacements, of course) come with an extra sensor. So, Amazon, Best Buy, Oculus - any retail Touch package includes a sensor.

Oddly, often the product description doesn't mention this (e.g., Amazon's) - but the Q&A section answers it several times over. :-)

u/Mecatronico · 1 pointr/oculus

Amazon will ship to Brazil, but you will need to pay the huge importing fees, if you will go to europe it is cheaper to bring it from there when you come back since it fits in the $500 quota.

Touch: https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch/dp/B01BHMS88A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492604141&sr=8-3&keywords=oculus

Shipping & Fee Details

Price $99.99 (R$310,73)

AmazonGlobal Shipping + $20.55 (R$ 63,86)

Estimated Import Fees Deposit + $114.66 (R$356,32)

Total $235.20 (R$786,86)

u/wadall · 1 pointr/virtualreality

Could I buy this and the Oculus Touch controllers and have a good $400 vr setup?

u/Grey406 · 1 pointr/oculus

"Oculus Touch" always comes with an an extra sensor even if not clearly labeled as such. https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch/dp/B01BHMS88A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503953593&sr=8-1&keywords=oculus+touch You can see its confirmed in all the questions and reviews here.

It's dumb that it doesnt clearly state that it Includes; L and R touch controller + Camera Sensor + RockBand VR adapter + 2x AA Batteries

u/phoenixdigita1 · 1 pointr/oculus

Amazon still selling them so you can get it there. I suspect they removed it as an option now they are selling the bundle together.

https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Touch/dp/B01BHMS88A

You could try contacting support they might manually setup a sale for you.

u/legos_on_the_brain · 1 pointr/FortNiteBR

Maybe a foot controller for wasd?

Something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/3dRudder-Foot-powered-Gaming-Motion-Controller/dp/B01MS26PFK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523473543&sr=1-1&keywords=3d+rudder

If I remember, you can set a USB gamepad to just output wasd wather than the d-pad buttons. Fortnite should not be able to tell the difference then.

u/userbelowisamonster · 1 pointr/disabledgamers

Have you seen the 3DRudder?

https://i.imgur.com/iB1N4pd.jpg

This might be a good option

u/thegenregeek · 1 pointr/daydream

If you have a PC and some PS Move controllers you can install Riftcat and use the PS Move Service to do roomscale tracking.

Another option is using a Nolo VR kit to link with your PC. You can get them on Amazon.

u/munkpuppy · 1 pointr/virtualreality

You might as well save up some cash and get a used Rift from Craigslist in a few months, after the Rift S and Valve Index hit the market and people upgrade.

I've tried doing what you are; The best you can get is with these trackers, which cost only marginally less than a used Rift kit. They don't work very well:
https://www.amazon.com/Virtual-Reality-Controller-Headsets-Standalone-Android/dp/B07CPG9K5Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_40?keywords=vr+controller&qid=1557292611&s=gateway&sprefix=vr+con&sr=8-40

Understand that your phone screen is likely limited to 60fps, and your VR framerate is solely dependent on the speed of your WiFi (unless you can get USB tethering working). I got a lot of motion sickness when the fps drops below 60, which was always.
