I always keep my controller plugged in. They have external batteries at Walmart or Gamestop. If that's more your style. I could try to find a link.

'load soak' implies a capability of supplying current with minimal voltage sag, not charge capacity.
I get maybe 4 hours use, plus you can plug in a USB canle.

I took my DS4 apart to replace the stick. It was a nightmare. Its not as easy as you think to get apart. Just do what i did and get one of [these.] (http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Power-Pack-PlayStation-4/dp/B00J128FKU) I have one and it works great.
