There are nose bridge clip glasses that basically use pressure from the bridge and the nose pads to keep the glasses on. They are typically used for reading glasses, but I've seen them for fashion as well for people who don't like them sitting on their ears.

In fact these look surprisingly similar to the glasses Senko has on

Hey he wears the same brand of fake glasses that I do!

You've touched on one of my biggest frustrations of getting old: fumbling with reading glasses. The following discussion is anything but cool. No laughing or judgment from my millennial colleagues. And stay off of my damned lawn!

What I eventually landed on were bifocal or progressive reading glasses. When I get really busy behind the bar, I put them on and leave them on. You want a smaller pair (ie no aviators) so you can easily look over and under the glasses while wearing them. If all you need is help with tiny print, get a bifocal pair. If you have issues with mid-distance as well, like reading the the POS, get the progressives. The bifocals work great for me. Another option is half-frame or slim readers. They're easy to look over, under and around. This is what I keep at home for reading. A simple Amazon or Google search should turn up hundreds of options. And if you really want to look like a geek, pick up a glasses chain, rope or strap (especially if you work beach or poolside). I often use one, or I'm forever searching for my readers when I need them.

All of these option take a shift or two to get used to. So don't start out on a crazy weeded night. It was a fairly quick adjustment for me and I rarely even notice them anymore, only that I can see what I need to, when I need to.

~Good luck

I'm side-to-side myself, and replacing my reading glasses with these changed my life. No more sore ears.

The jacket seems to be the trickiest part of this costume. I'm finding white blazers with black piping and white blazers with a black trim and neither of those are quite right. After looking up more pictures of Gideon, I realized that his blazer is white with black stitching. I had a hard time trying to find anything like that online..

He's wearing just a solid red button-down. He has a solid black tie as well that has a triangular tie pin(?) through it. He has black glasses that look like these on his face. It also looks like his pants are just dark blue slacks.

His shoes were also kind of difficult to find, but they seem to be white oxfords with black soles and black lacing. This is the closest shoe I could find, and even then it would need black laces. These are also pretty similar, but the soles look more brownish than black.

Good luck with your costume! I think it'd look perfect if you even added a katana to go with your costume!

NP dude. Add me if your on NA my name is Funkington. If your shape is way out of whack I've got to assume that the intacs can only help but I wouldn't waste any time investigating especially if you wanna stay on that CBR.

This pillow and these computer glasses. I'd like to think life wise they'll be a little more helpful than a 3ds.

u/Qianweijia · 2 pointsr/Mcat

I don't know of any, but if you need help with eye strain, I recommend getting a pair of computer glasses. I personally use these https://www.amazon.com/Gunnar-Optiks-PPK-00101-Advanced-Compatibility/dp/B004FN1AES/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1466296372&sr=8-21&keywords=gunnar+glasses

What do you think about Eyekepper? They seem legit and claim to be FDA approved.

Like these for example.

I must add that I use blue light blocking glasses in the evening on the recommendation of my doctor and it really does work remarkably well. I put them on around 7:30PM and I'm out by 9PM.

There are a ton of them out there. Just make sure they have orange lenses. These are the ones I use with my glasses.

I personally use Ra Optics Thutmose about 1 or 2 hours before bed and Gunnar Intercept (yellow amber lens) for work on a computer or leading up to bed. The Gunnars are much more comfortable and well made but only block 67 percent of blue light. They reduce eye strain for sure. The Ra Optics ultimate night lenses block all blue/green light and dim the total amount of light a bit like sunglasses. They are ideal for winding down before bed, however, the frames on the Thutmose are made by Zenni and creek a bit when I put them on. I also don't like that the lenses are so tight on my face my eyelashes brush up against them. If I could get another pair I would go with EMR Cyclops + Gunnar Intercept combo. If you buy the Gunnars on Drop (also called Massdrop) they are actually pretty affordable ($27.99 for the Intercept non-prescriptions) and you could get both with your budget.

Write up about the EMRs: https://www.bluelightdiet.com/blog/emrcyclops

Reading glasses for now will help deal with the up close vision. Try 1.5x, 1.25x, and 1.00x. My advice is to buy all three, because as you heal you’ll need less magnification. Eventually you won’t need them at all. Here are the ones I use:

I know this post is weeks old but girl, 100% I think one of the best things you can do for your appearance is to get new glasses. Do yours look something like this or this?

Cause I always see both women and men wear thin rectangle glasses that make them look so much more unattractive than they actually are. This girl I used to work with once had what I thought was a massive glow up overnight, but then I realised all she did was trade in her old ugly glasses for more modern ones that framed her face better and made her eyes look bigger.

If you can, get some new, fashionable glasses. I promise it will make such a difference.

My Rx has DV circled, RE sphere of -2.25, LE of -1.50, RE Cylindar of -2, LE of -3.25 and RE axis of 017 and LE of 154.

My frames are in this general style and i got anti glare, anti oil, and a bunch others except for transitional lenses. I dont remember all that was offered but i just checked everything

This is the only pair got from zenni, and i got used to the abnormalities but it made me very dizzy for the first 2 weeks. My wife just got her first zenni pair and shes complaining about how it looks like she is on a never ending upward hill. Everything looks slanted up. I dont have her prescription but she has bigger frames and they are more square

Woah that's a great idea... Are they these types of things? http://www.amazon.com/GR004-C1-Ergonomic-Protection-Resistant-53-16-137/dp/B00BQMN4DQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410828680&sr=8-1&keywords=computer+glasses

I have a coworker who wears these, he says it reduces eyestrain.

Regarding streetlights, you probably don't even need a network at all, just have a timer in each streetlight programmed with a schedule. Maybe that'll catch on in another 10 years
