Lots of things like this on Amazon.
sheet elastic straps
These are a lifesaver. Literally haven’t had this issue since I bought sheet straps a year ago
Growing up we used these
One set Crisscross Adjustable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DF5TE5S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Edit: been using these for a lil over a year and my sheets haven’t came up once.
Dude. I know exactly how you feel. Get this.
Trust me it will change the way you sleep and wake up.
Stopped happening for you so this isn't much help unless someone else reads this, but anyway
I had the same problem, every single night I'd wake up to a corner or two coming up and the sheet half off. I used these (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MNBPZFE?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_t2), although I'm sure any of the similar items work fine, that's just the one I bought. Perfection, now my sheets finally stay on until I take them off to wash them.
You can use fitted sheet clips to hold it in place, or something similar.
Lol, there are tons of men who sew (check out r/myog) but I understand your apprehension! Honestly though, if you could get the pattern measured and cut then any seamstress or tailor (or friend with a sewing machine that can sew a reasonably straight line) could probably be sweet-talked into cutting and sewing it together for you but it probably won’t be cheap.
You could also just buy some fabric and use these elastic clips to hold it where you need it: BetyBedy 4Pcs Adjustable Bed Sheet Fasteners Suspenders, Elastic Sheet Band Straps Clips, Cover Grippers Suspenders Holder for Mattress Pad Cover, Sofa Cushion (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075JB16XB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_H0d4CbVDS0AGV
I used to experience this also, not just when I was putting them on but while I slept. Then I found a very simple and cheap solution:

I've always used corner clips, just now ordered these because loose, wrinkly sheets drive me batshit.

My grandparents got two separate twin beds. I am not sure how much that was influenced by tv and movies but my Grandfather had pretty severe PTSD from World War II and a house fire they had. She would wake up to him trying to drag her out of the bed in his sleep.

Fun Fact: The sleeping in two beds did spark a sub-industry of Bed Bridges. It may sound silly but you can still buy them today. It is a line of foam that will cover the seam between the beds.
Buy these below, just got an adjustable bed and it was happening all the damn time, these work great

I'm a former college football player who has sustained various back injuries necessitating surgery. I'm also a pretty big guy, do durability was an important factor for me. I've got this bed frame coupled with a tempurpedic mattress and it's been great thus far for over a year. It's heavy and difficult to move, but it's super sturdy and is still running like day one, as you might expect for a product with a good warranty. I made the decision to just save up and BIFL.
I would recommend a memory foam or a latex mattress if you're going to get an adjustable base. And get some bed sheet suspenders like these.
i hate it. they make things to keep the sheet on...

This looks close: https://www.amazon.com/Korlon-Adjustable-Grippers-Suspenders-Fasteners/dp/B01GKRDA5S/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1474310810&sr=8-9&keywords=suspender+strap
These are much more effective than the straps that most places sell, I have found. Also THERE'S A BUNCH OF THEM, SO YOU CAN LINE THE ENTIRE BED IF YOU WANT.

I agree. Put the back cushion on the outside of the cover and get a separate cover for it that coordinates with the chair cover. Tighten up the chair cover, maybe using those dowels that can be pushed down into the creases to keep it in place or the snap attachments that go underneath to keep cover in place.

The label should say deep or tall for sure. There are little straps you can get that affix under the corner that might help!
Kind of like suspenders for sheets lol https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07TVC18BT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DNwKDb27ENPM1
