I have several pairs of feetures. Great, but very expensive. I find these work just as well and you can buy a 6 pack for slightly more than one pair of feetures. I have done 18 mile long runs in them with no problem.

I don't think you have to spend 10 bucks a pair on them, granted some of the more expensive ones are great for people who have feet that sweat more than average. I do pretty well with my 3-pair-for-10-bucks socks that I get at Dicks (or Amazon...).

At the runner's shop, they sell all the 10-20 bucks a pair socks and I have a couple of pairs of them, but I've never noticed a big difference personally. I think the only "rule" is that every person who runs should be doing so in no-cotton synthetic athletic socks.

My grandfather Dillard, I lived next to him my entire life but growing up I was always my grandma's boy. She looked after me, I talked to her every single day, she probably was the biggest influence in my life besides my own mother. When she passed away I was devastated, but there was a silver lining. Where I had always been around my grandpa, I never really knew him till after my grandma died. I've been so lucky to get to know him since, he's a Korean war vet, married to the same woman for over 50 years, farmer, worked for the post office for 40 years and raised three children. He's a huge influence in my life, one that taught me how important loyalty is, and how to live the correct way. Seeing as my other grandparents died when my father was young, I've always felt lucky to have him and see him almost every day.
