Aaaaaaaaand then I bought them!

I had some luck searching out "pave circle earrings," but I don't know the specifics (i.e. metal type or gemstone) so there are too many to narrow it down. Here are some options of varying quality.

I have a nickel allergy too. You can get these little plastic sleeves that go over your posts so you can wear the cheap ones. I've used them a few times.

My mom got me these pretty earrings for Christmas, and I've had zero issue so far. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X6N91R6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_BtmGwbP5SHCTZ

(Sorry for the long link, I'm on mobile)

I bought these studs for this exact reason. They have screw on backs, so no poking, they're gold so no irritation, and they're cheap so I love them! I've been wearing them for like 3 months straight, zero complaints. The backs are a bit hard to get on at first, but given that I literally never take them off, I don't care. I wear them in both lobe piercings on each ear, and in my cartilage. They even come in different sizes! Sorry for the ugly links, I'm on mobile.

I wear these every day! I don't have sensitive ears, but if you do I'm sure you could find a similar pair in a better material. Also, I just noticed that all of the review pictures have them sitting horizontally, but I wear them vertically hanging down. I sometimes wear small pearl studs in my second hole, but am only allowed to have one piercing showing at work, so I usually just stick with the one pair.

These are like underground famous and this is the version in an unusual diamond cut.

These are cheaper and I think lower quality as well. In pictures the Brilliant Shines seem to have much stronger colour and vibrancy. Pavoi has some pretty nice pearl earrings though.

I'm thinking about getting the fake diamond/freshwater pearl stuff soon the only issue is the Aus shipping. :/

I have this pineapple necklace on my under $10 list ... these stud earrings are also on that list.

Thanks for the contest! Have an awesome day!

With that sparkly belt I think the more sparkles the better. It would look lovely with pearls too though if that’s your vibe!

If you like dangly earrings then I would say something like drop earrings or statement piece earrings, like this or this, and a matching bracelet would look great with this dress. I don’t think you’d need a necklace if you went with this option.

If you prefer stud earrings (like this, this, or this) then I think a dainty necklace and bracelet combo would look lovely.

I sleep in my studs and had the same problem so I bought these and haven't had any issues since.

Amazon has these...

Not quite as cute, but under $40.

As part of my (22/m) Christmas gift to my girlfriend (22/f) I am trying to get her some earrings. I have no idea what I'm doing.

From my experience she seems to wear mostly stud-type earrings. She already has this pair which look really nice on her. I was thinking of getting her something similar: these ones

Would you wear a pair like that or does that look tacky/ugly/immature? I'm more out of my comfort zone than a penguin in a sauna. I'm basically going on the fact that she has those bumblebee studs which are kind of similar and very nice :)

My budget is about $50 since the earrings are only part of my planned gift

All my lobes are many years old and do not react to stainless steel, I got the set from here! Been trying to save up for a titanium set, but my poor wallet :( So many beautiful jewelry choices, so little money.

I think these are a hidden gem. Fake pearl earrings with cat ears that don't irritate my ears for less than $20.

TL/DR: IMO body piercings are trashy. It is just my personal preference.

  • I prefer natural beauty over flashy gimmicks. For example: I much prefer Death Valley Nat'l Park or Monument Valley, Utah over the Las Vegas strip. Las Vegas is OK once (other than the shows.) I never get tired of going to experience the beauty of the parks. (I dread the day when they figure out to superimpose an emoji onto the face of the moon.)

  • When I make love to and with a woman, I want to caress her, not her hardware. Getting amorous with hardware does not turn me on. (That goes for earrings also. I have been conditioned to accept earrings, but during sex I like to nibble and kiss her ear, not her earrings.) I would also be afraid of accidentally getting one caught in the heat of the moment.

  • I looked up what nipple jewelry was made out of. The most popular materials were surgical stainless steel, titanium, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or 14K gold (why not 18K or 24K gold?). Other than 14K gold, none of those materials strike me as being classy.

  • I tried to look for jewelry for body piercings at jewelry stores online. I looked at the jewelry stores whose names I recognized. As far as I could tell (maybe I was using the wrong search terms), none of the top jewelry stores (Tiffany & Co., etc.) carried jewelry for body piercings. Where I did find that type of jewelry is at places like Claire's Boutique or the shops that do the piercings. Isn't Claire's Boutique where a splenda daddy does his gift shopping at?

  • I looked on Amazon.com for nipple jewelry. The most expensive I could find was [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Eyebrow-Circular-Barbell-HorseShoe-Jewelry/dp/B00F8KGMI6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519580325&sr=8-3&keywords=nipple+jewelry). I then looked on Amazon.com for expensive earrings and found [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Certified-Diamond-Earring-4-Prong-VVS2-VS1/dp/B01IJBP8N0/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1519580579&sr=1-1&nodeID=7454925011&psd=1&keywords=earrings) Again, it appears to me that nipple jewelry is cheap and trashy rather than classy.

  • To be licensed to cut hair in my state you have to meet certain minimum standards. (H.S. or equivalent graduate, over 18, graduate from an accredited course, training in exposure to blood borne pathogens, pass a written exam, pass a practical exam, work in a licensed shop.) To perform piercings there are no requirements at all in my state.
