If you're really worried about staph infections why not take the evidence based approach and use chlorhexadine wash (hibiclens, betasept, etc) after rolling. It has great efficacy for a broad range of bacteria as well as a long track record for safety. It's even effective against MRSA. Seems this brand is only 4$ + S/H. You can even wash with this stuff before you roll and the bacteriostatic effect it has keeps you safe for 24 hours (assuming you don't wash off the residual with another cleanser).
