I was not able to identify one up for sale closest I found was this or this

I can say that it is a tie cuff-link set, which is something a bunch of designers are doing right now. Tie is silk with textured stripes. The strong stripes like that are something very common in Italian ties. (It looks like something armani would do to me, but I didn't find it in any collection).

Because you can use regular suspenders? If they were maternity suspenders they'd cost twice as much but work exactly the same way. If you want suspenders, just order some rainbow ones off amazon for $6

Oh yeah, no problem, they were charcoal suits and a dark green bow tie, except my fiancé wore a bow tie from his grandpa so it was black.

what do think of a tie like this or that... should they go with a white shirt? I'm reading up on the basic stuff on the right now, but I'm a bit lost with the talk of cardigans and vests. thanks for your help so far

Try this or this, with something like this.

Same, except for every day at work instead of a fancy banquet :<

I did get this tie (pink/blue/white striped, if the link doesn't show it right away) so I can be secretly obviously trans.

Bow ties work with button ups, but they look better in addition to a sweater/sweater vest, cardigan, or suspenders. They do indeed sell neon suits for ~$100, which is definitely too much imho if you're only going to wear it once (and it's not your senior prom). I would ask if people are planning on dressing neon, though, since its uncommon to dress to the theme for prom. You could get a group together and all wear button downs, black pants, and bowtie/suspender sets. You could also get a vest/tie set like this. If you're going to wear a binder to prom, try not to wear it all day leading up to it. My main concern for that wouldn't be that you'd be dancing, but rather that you'd overheat pretty quickly.

From Formal to informal:

Blue suit with a nice tie. It will work for weddings, funerals and very formal business meetings.
2 white dress shirts for the suit, 2 slightly colored dress shirts for the suit (e.g. light blue).
Sport coat with a light print. Something you can wear on a first date or to work.
2 "Professional" polo shirts see if you can get any with your industry logos on them (your company, suppliers, partners, customers, etc...)

If the company is more casual, more polo shirts and less dress shirts.

thanks, I already made sure blazer khaki and tie woould work. What do you think of this and this? Oherwise I would look just like the guy in the blazer pic (only not quite as handsome, damnit), I have white shirt and shoes, and the khakis I am going to get look like the one the guy in the pic is wearing

This preppy tie is awesome!

[While I love this tie and it's the only one on my wishlist] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006UNSIIW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=39SNV45L41Q57&coliid=I3MO9YCIMEIOQN) I would totally love any recommendations as far as what I should personally look for to wear it with. I'm honestly pretty bad at the whole 'looking nice' thing. :D))

Thanks for responding. I've started collecting the light blue shirts (up to 4). I was thinking my shirt like this (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/john-w-nordstrom-trim-fit-egyptian-cotton-dress-shirt/3160584?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=john_w._nordstrom(r)_trim_fit_egyptian_cotton_dress_shirt:345762&cm_pla=tops:men:dress-shirt&cm_ven=Froogle&mr:referralID=NA&mr:trackingCode=52795408-A9AE-E011-8116-001517B1882A) but cheaper with a red tie (due to the occasion). These were a few I was considering Red1 or Red2 or Red3. I don't own any navy ties do you think something like this or this would be appropriate in general?

Thank you again for taking the time to help already.
