No it's not. What is hard to believe is that you think conversing with people who not only hold reprehensible beliefs but that also despise you personally will help you glean that understanding.

You want to know why racists and extremists are the way they are? Here That book, which I found after literally less than 1 minute on Google, will tell you more than an hour long conversation with these reprobates.

I'll say it again, you stand to gain nothing from conversation with them. They stand to gain empowerment from talking to you. That is because their positions rest on an unshakable, unreasonable base that you will not be able to break.
