EDIT: Thought I'd include links for some things being asked for on here. I didn't purchase everything new nor recently so there are some things I wasn't able to ID.

Wait, hold up. Is that this peel and stick tiling on amazon? I was just looking at getting some for my kitchen, even posting on reddit for advice on which color to choose.

This post almost makes me want to do it in my dining room instead haha. Does it look like tile in person? Some others on amazon looked to be faux tiles and not just wallpaper -- couldn't tell with this one but its pattern is so nice.

Brick Peel and Stick Wallpaper - Brick Wallpaper - Easily Removable Wallpaper - 3D Wallpaper Brick Look - Use as Wall Paper, Contact Paper, or Shelf Paper - 17.71" Wide x 197" Long - 24.22 sq. ft. (1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07525S92T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_sWvuDbW4WSFFE

Backsplash contact paper was from Walmart shelf liner aisle for $5 per roll and it took one roll to cover the kitchen. The counters came from Amazon $8 per roll and it took 3.5 rolls to cover the counters.

Yea, some of those low tow ratings are STUPID. Why does the outback or forester only have a 2000 capacity!? I ended up trading my forester for a jeep liberty CRD which had a tow rating of 5000, before moving to another "family car" which now has a 7,200 tow.

I mostly do music festivals and state camp grounds so the bathrooms aren't always an issue. I had one of those cassette toilets that was small enough to fit in a cupboard, but my husband refused to use it and when I was camping with friends it was a little awkward :D I had a pop up shower tent and those good old fashioned solar shower bags. I even was able to hang one on the outside of the trailer with a super duty suction cup and run it through the window to get hot water to the sink. It was loads of fun macgyvering things.

Just a suggestion, but I ended up covering my upholstery instead of redoing it. If the padding is still good anyway. That let me go with some crazy fun fabrics with out fears that I was going to kill resale. I also opted to cover my cabinets with contact paper for similar reasons, less permanent, but I could pick something fun. I highly recommend finding sticky vinyl tiles if you want to do a backsplash. Virtually no weight, but clean up nicely. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Art3d-Stick-Kitchen-Backsplash-Tiles/dp/B074J9LHN2/ref=sr_1_36?keywords=stick+vinyl+tiles&qid=1557176946&s=gateway&sr=8-36 (but to your own taste obvi). Oh! and if suction cups will stick to the exterior, you can get shower baskets with suction cups which can be turned in to faux window planters (and removed for driving).

You are going to have so much fun!

You said a lot of what I would, so I'll add...

Walls: a warm gold tone would brighten the room and go well with the brick and map

Railing: replace it with wrought iron or a combo of wood and wrought iron

Coffee table: I realize it's just a render, but the table looks too small and the shape doesn't fit. Something like this would be awesome.

Curtains: velvet material in either ruby or emerald color

Ceiling fan: find a less modern fan than the one in your render

Book shelf: is it possible to make that whole wall into a bookshelf? If not, consider creating the illusion of a floor to ceiling bookshelf by using bookshelf wallpaper. And if there's room, add a rolling ladder.

French doors: make the glass into stained glass by either replacing it with real stained glass, painting it with glass paint, or use stickies.

And speaking of stickies...
Gecko: you could turn your gecko into quite the gentleman by putting a vinyl decal on the glass whenever your gecko sits against the glass :)

You're off to a great start, OP!

I’ve used this peel & stick paper on thick foam core. There are some great wood patterns that you can align to make an easy 4’x4’ piece. The marble takes a little more work to align as nicely if you need it to be wider than the roll.

Yellow is a terrible idea. It will look dingy next to the grey-ish cabinets. I would either freshen the White on the walls or do a deeper medium grey.

Remove the curtain above the sink. Find a more modern pattern or go with white blinds with wide slats. If you want a pop of color, a solid bright yellow, blue or green would look nice in curtains.

Get faux marble appliqué for the counter tops.

Switch out the cabinet knobs for something more modern.

I personally like to keep my restroom light. So I’m going suggest maybe a accent wall on the wall behind your cabinet. Maybe one with a modern pattern to go with those beautiful cabinets. I linked a wall paper that might look nice.

for the look you are looking for, I would suggest looking to "burnt wood staining".

that case comes in a light "oak" color. Its possible to take that case, Char it with a blow torch. (CAREFULLY) and then just seal it with polyurethane.

Here are some Examples.

It can be a difficult thing to do.

If you dont want to deal with that, Maybe instead of "painting" or "staining" you could just buy some Vinyl Wrap for a more "non-permanent" solution.

Congratulations, that's an amazing result, especially considering that budget. And those counter tops....that must've been an absolute pain. If you're looking for an easy low-budget marble option next time, there are also some other options (some of those actually look fairly realistic if you look at the photos!). But yeah... impressive! Old oak, away with you!

Thank you!! We used some peel and stick wallpaper we found on Amazon for both sides of the ceiling. Links below!
