You're in luck, I have the exact thing you ask for! This historical novel is amazingly written story of the assassination and everything around it. It gives chilling insights on the brutality nazis used when fighting resistance. It has chapters from perspective of "heroes" as well as the "villains" and it provides so much fascinating information in easily digestable (intelectually, not emotionaly) way. It's a great read and I can't recommend it enough(tho I read the Czech version, hopefully the translation holds up).

I also just found this document issued by the Czech government that compiles the informations with pictures, maps and everything. I haven't read it, but I'd assume it's accurate based on the publisher.

I recently written and published my first book.

Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/Galatic-Solar-Wars-War-Planets/dp/1980737762/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1523820663&sr=1-1&keywords=Solar+War+War+of+the+Planets

Digital: https://www.amazon.com/Galactic-Solar-Wars-Planets-Galatic-ebook/dp/B07BXBKGGF/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1523820663&sr=1-2&keywords=Solar+War+War+of+the+Planets

Before I give details of the book you need to know something about me. I have a learning and spelling disability, There are a lot of mistakes in the first Edition of the book. These will be fixed in later editions when I have time to fix them. I going to allow the first Edition to run for 1 year before I have the 2nd version come out because I currently can not afford to get my own ISBN and I need the money to buy them before I release updated versions. I had zero help in writing the book as my family wanted me to pay them to help fix the book so I end up doing everything my self.

The book is written like a scrip so you when it says Character Name: What they said) You can read this line any way you like. Its easier for me to write like a scrip then to write normally so I wrote it this way.

When I was a child I created my own super hero Saturn Man. Orignal he defended the Solar System from the Evil Sun Master. As I grow up I added more and more to him more of a back story as well as a Team of Planet Heros. As well as other heros I had created. In 2012 I decied I wanted to finally write a book based on Saturn Man as well as the other heros I created. I went back to my old drawings as well notes I had over the years. So I wrote this

Now about the book it self. The book is broken up into 3 Parts

The prequal story is a Bonus chapter for those who buy the full Story. Orignal I gave this story out for free on facebook I pulled it.

When an Evil force from outside the solar system attacked the planet Mercury The Dragon core of Mercury transform him self into a Mercronianan using his Divine Powers he defended his Planet when this Evil Force moved on to Venus she did nte same as well as the other planets. When the full force of the Dark Star Army attacked the Dragons joined forces to defend the solar system. After driving back the Evil force the Dragons placed a part of them self back into the core of each planet and then turn them self mortal were they ruled their planet.

The main Story takes place Many many years later. Were the decendence of the Dragons have to now defend their planets as well as the solar sysyems with 3 of the Inner planets joined forces with the Dark Star Army the battle is hard. Jupirter Prince, Saturn Prince, Uranus Prince, Neptune Queen, Pluto's Prince must join to gether to defend the solar system from the Dark Star Army new Generals the Ruler of Mercury, Ruler of Venus, and the Ruler of Mars. Earth's Hero is no were to be found. Are the Solar Warriors up to the task.

The book is part 1 of 2 books with more coming later depend on how the first 2 sells later on.

The Physical copy is $7 and the Digital is $3 The reason for the price being so high is From my royalties I want to pay off the house I am buying and I stil owe over $10,000 on the house.

I hope you do injoy it.

The Name on the Physcial copy is missprinted and will be fixed in future version of the book. The artwork on the Digital is done by me but it does not fit on the physical copy. I hoping to get this fixed as well for future versions.

If you're interest in the characters, you should check out the book series.

Watching the Clock. Great book that's all about the DTI. Who they are, what they do, and what life is like for them. I like it because of how character-driven it is, and how ambitious it is in exploring the boundaries of time travel. The author took two bit characters from DS9 and turned them into interesting, 3-dimensional characters at the center of a completely unexplored corner of Star Trek lore with lots of potential.

Edit: There's a second book as well, but I don't think it captured the same sense of fun as the first. I still hope the DTI has a future because it gives an interesting perspective on time travel's role in Star Trek.

Germline!

http://www.amazon.com/Germline-Subterrene-War-Book-One-ebook/dp/B0047Y16NU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415591535&sr=8-1&keywords=germline

You definitely won't find ridiculous heroism and jingoism in Germline. It's extremely depressing and spot on - imagine a future setting where the war in Afghanistan turned into Dick Cheney's wet dream and was covered by Hunter S. Thompson. The author never served, but he definitely did his research into making the book a realistic depiction of military life.

It's a trilogy but, to be honest, I didn't get more than halfway through the second book. It's not that it was bad, but that the first book was more than intense enough.

Sounds like Germline by T.C. McCarthy

u/CesarTheWriter · 2 pointsr/selfpublish

Hello people.

Some time ago I wrote a 3300 words long dark fantasy short story. $0.99. It had swords and plenty of depressing deaths.

"Silent Edge tells the story of a mysterious man on a mission in a land of deep lore and magic. As he soon finds himself in a dingy little bar, he's surrounded by tough strangers, and none know who he's really after, or who he really is. They won't find out... until its too late."

I just tried copying the link to the page I landed on when I hit "format":

https://www.amazon.com/Freebird-1-Vincent-King/dp/1492707988/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505857063&sr=8-1&keywords=freebird+vincent+king#mediaMatrix_secondary_view_div_1505859486140

And that's just like your original link, goes to the paperback. I guess Amazon doesn't want it to be easy.

The Man of War series. Its not ALL Military tactics, but most every battle is the Captain figuring out a way to outsmart his vastly superior opponents. The character moves faster than the book tells you and its a nice little game figuring out his next move.

You're welcome :) Here's the ebook version of my book. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XFGP2X6 For some reason my paperback version hasn't been linked yet. It's a modern action/adventure that I've been working on for about 10 years on and off.

u/rtsynk · 1 pointr/litrpg

absolutely

The 100 people in the class become the 'Trailblazers' who go everywhere and make all the decisions (because in a vast universe without instant comms, you send people off on decades long missions with no oversight) and each one ends up running a vast faction spanning multiple systems

I did say it was a slow ramp up, but what was originally episode 24 where they meet the dragon is a key turning point that remains hugely impactful (events from that episode were actually just referenced in the latest book). By that point you should have a better idea if you like the series as a whole.

After
A postapocalyptic novel.
Price: $7.50 (e-book).

Alice Greenly returns home from her first year of college to discover Edward, a wealthy survivalist, has purchased a home on the outskirts of her small town. At first she believes him to be an eccentric – but as atomic war breaks out, it falls to Edward to help Alice and her family to flee the irradiated wasteland that her home state has become. In their escape, they are forced to contend with the privations of post-apocalyptic life and do battle with looters, highwaymen, and gangs until they arrive and settle at the town of Holmes, whose inhabitants managed to survive the apocalypse, and even establish a measure of civilized living, with the help of an organized group of survivors known only as the Outriders. But though the Outriders appear to benevolent protectors, not all is as it seems.

Tammy Salyer's Spectras Arise series (military/heist sci fi) and G.S. Jennsen's Aurora Rising series (alien invasion/military/space opera) both star excellent female characters. Joel Shepherd's Spiral Wars series (military sci fi ) also features a really awesome female character -- she's not technically the protagonist, but she splits "screen time" about 50/50 with the male lead. All three of these series also feature great minor female characters too.

My Ziva Payvan series revolves around a female lead as well.

This short story is very short but I wrote it for my grandfather and family members who were in military. Its supposed to be inspiring of them. Its an alternate history. If you want to know more message me. Thanks.
