first, a 6 watch winder is not the same as 8. A quick look on amazon shows them for $3k here or $2k here or $2400 here

So maybe i was a little high but not much. You can buy a pelagos for $3k, a black bay for 2500, a seamaster for just over $2k, and a speedmaster full kit for $3k.

Now, i urge you too look at the reviews of the product. I think Wolfe has been caught sleeping at the wheel. They used to be top quality but lately all the reviews are basically "cheap shit from china with poor QC".

Now, I can buy 10 of my 8 watch winders for the price of 1 Wolfe. I dont think the math adds up. Wolfe might be slightly better looking, maybe slightly better quality, and maybe it has a great warranty / service. None of those add up to 10x more value.

Basically if it lasts 2 years, and I replace it every 2 years, I can have a 0-2yo winder for 20 years, and if the wolfe lasts 19 years I am still ahead. You are going to bank that 3yr warranty will support you for 20 years?

I dont know why you got so defensive about Wolfe. I honestly could care less - anyone can spend their money whichever way they want. But lets not be fanatical about a brand that has done nothing to develop that fanaticism other than overcharge for their products.

By the way, idk what crap you bought before. The stuff i got is super quiet, that was a worry. It has multiple modes and it is not broken and looks just fine. The reality is that there are only so many makers of the motors, so many use the same factory.

You can actually buy watch turners to keep a collection wound at all times. Not sure if this is necessary to keep the watch "happy," but does allow someone to grab a watch from a collection and wear it immediately even if it has not been worn for a month.

There are many manual watches that require winding my hand (like most Panerai or Speedy Pro). They now make manual winders for them.

I have the 6 piece version of this box and have been very happy with the quality. Worth checking out.

I have a wolf winder and this cheapo one from amazon. The LCD on the cheap one is nice and the pillows won't put wear on the bracelet, the only downside is that it is slightly louder than the Wolf winder but not by much. Don't pay MSRP for Wolf though, you can find it discounted on drop.com often.

Does anyone use a watch winder? Is it bad to use them?

I just bought this one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Pateker-Luxury-Leather-Display-Handmade/dp/B01M253LM3 and I'm not sure what the best settings are to use for a Raymond Weil Nabucco chronograph watch. I put it on the winder and now it's not keeping the time. I was doing the one that span it left 2 mins. pause. right 2 mins.

I started with a simple 6 watch tray and it worked well. Now that my collection is a bit bigger, I have a box to hold the random odds and ends (extra straps, collar stays, cuff links, ect), and a winder.
