No, it's in the living room/TV area but we live in an apartment, which isn't small, but the living room is next to the bedroom. No issues whatsover. It does cut off if I'm in the other room which is further away from the living room.

My other tips regarding the Gamepad would be to buy a storage case like this, this awesome screen protector which has the best application processes I have ever seen and maybe extra styluses, though I haven't done that. The case and screen protector will help a lot against dust and scuffs.

I am sure you've looked into Wii U data storage options?

EDIT: The screen protector seems to be out of stock for now. You can look for a different one but I can only vouch for that one because I use it.

I used to take mine to work (taking the subway and all) sometimes stuffed on my backpack. I only bought an special case for the gamepad. Like this one... http://www.amazon.com/Tomee-Wii-Protective-GamePad-Nintendo-U/dp/B00ATJIOTG/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1416457832&sr=1-1&keywords=gamepad+case

Went to check which one I got when I got the Zelda Wii U.

Although it seems pretty scarce now. It was exactly what I wanted when I ordered.

It only adds a little bulk, but about 6 months ago I took it off and have really enjoyed using it without the case.

The decals still haven't shown any wear even since playing bare, though I do put it on when children are playing !

I got the Tomee one as well. It works pretty great. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATJIOTG/

I personally got the PDP Silicon Jacket + Tomee Carrying Case + Hori Screen Protector and have been reasonably happy with the combination of the 3. The quality of PDP jacket does seem to be a bit inconsistent from the Amazon reviews, but a few people have posted tips on there about getting it to fit better. If it seems absolutely terrible, maybe you should just return it though?

Looks good man, the only issue I'm seeing in the Amazon reviews is that it won't fit into the charging cradle with the grip on. If you only use the cable this won't be an issue.

I for one love that cradle, so this would be a deal-breaker for me.

I'm not really too sure, it looks like This one

I would suggest getting something like this, it's your best bet.

I have found a great alternative to the official Rocketfish Wii U bag, if you can find one at Marshalls or TJ Maxx it should cost around $25 (unfortunately $55 on Amazon), and I also picked up the Gamepad controller protector on Amazon for $15. This combo works really well together, and you can fit all necessary components, as well as 10+ games and 4 Wii controllers easy!

I got the Amazon Basics Camera Back Pack and it holds it all.http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-DSLR-Laptop-Backpack-interior/dp/B00CF5OGP8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427151907&sr=8-2&keywords=amazon+basics+camera+backpack
I also got the Tomee GamePad case to protect it while in the backpack. http://www.amazon.com/Tomee-Wii-Protective-GamePad-Nintendo-U/dp/B00ATJIOTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427151953&sr=8-1&keywords=tomee+gamepad+case
I'm a little OCD and also got myself spare GP and WiiU power transformers so I don't need to disconnect any power behind the entertainment center

I use this. Though now it's really pricy for some reason... when I bought it it was only $10. Now $55. Great case though, maybe it will go down in price later.

This hori one is what I got about a year ago. It should be less than $15, I don't know why it's so high right now. I wish it was TPU like my 3DS one but it's alright. Edit: Hori Luigi version if you frequent target.com, otherwise amazon has it for a few $ more.

u/indecisiveimminence · 1 pointr/wiiu

I got a hori plastic case, it seems fine so far. I should have got a screen protector though because there are a ton of light scratches on my gamepad but you can only see them if you tilt it in direct light.

It seems to be out of stock right now...

Do you know where I can find the hard case? I've been looking all over and this hybrid cover is the only thing coming up.

Ideally, I want something like this Hori one I got for my WiiU which has been fantastic so far.

You could make something like this for like 2 bucks.

u/Maxsayo · 1 pointr/wiiu

I used to use screen protectors alot but when it came to touch screens adding another layer would sometimes cause unresponsiveness with gentle or light motions.

What I bought was a Gamepad Facecover

It protected the screen when not in use so that it wouldn't be scratched or damaged when at rest or stored for transportation, and it also could double as a stand that could latch the cover into the back of the pad.
