Black out shades and curtains are a winning combo. My bedroom is so dark and cool now I’d never wake up if it wasn’t for the alarm.
I also highly recommend these curtain rods.

Your idea might work, but I would be concerned about the blackout curtains being much heavier than the sheer curtains. That might pull a bit on the lighter fabric.
This doesn't exactly answer your question, but have you considered layering the 2 curtains? Either on 2 separate rods or both sets on the same rod (sheer on the inside and blackout on the outside like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9c/36/34/9c36341efed7189ef060637badc2afce.jpg). Sheer curtains are so pretty, and if you do end up lining them, it's going to look much heavier.
Or you could purchase clip rings and simply double up the sheer and blackout curtains. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Curtain-Clip-Rings-Nickel/dp/B01N5B2MKA
Please disregard these suggestions if they doesn't work for your situation!
You might also look at curved rods:

If you don't want to keep the (very likely expensive, custom) blinds, basic lock seam rods (the flat white kind) could probably be mounted in the recessed area where the blinds are currently. If you want to keep the light filtering blinds intact, you'll need to put drapery hardware on the ceiling. There are several types of decorative brackets (like these https://www.amazon.com/Umbra-Ceiling-Bracket-Drapery-Nickel/dp/B00FB6R8HQ?th=1) or, since you want blackout, track that wouldn't leave a gap at the top (https://www.amazon.com/Ceiling-Curtain-Wheeled-Carriers-4-Silver/dp/B01L6C2QQG). Flexible track is also a thing, which would work well with your wall angle.
Get these things that hang right over the blinds you already have
How about a double curtain rod? Usually the inner rod is used for a sheer, but there’s no reason you can’t use regular blackout curtains on both, doubling the darkening effect. This one in particular wraps around back to the wall so light doesn’t come in from the sides, or you can use some Velcro to affix the sides to the wall. You might still get some light coming in from the top, but you could easily cut out a piece of cardboard and stick it to the top of the window frame - big enough to block light but small enough so it doesn’t interfere with the opening and closing of the curtains. The nice thing about these curtain rods is that they’re extendable, so you can make them much wider than the window.
Also, you can even get a "energy efficient" curved curtain rod along with the block out curtains. The curtain being able to slide around the curved corner, can go all the way to the wall, not leaving a gap between Window and curtain. Makes a difference with keeping heat/cold in place.

Something like this. I have two patio doors in my house and while they don't face anywhere anyone can see in and are double-paned, they are still cold. All other windows have blinds except a sidelight (another sewing project). Curtain rod..
Tiny curtain rods?

Came in to say this. I've been looking for thick blackout curtains on a small budget lately and the best I've been able to come up with are liners like the ones above. You can find them on Amazon as well. It's even better than having a black/dark curtain because it will absorb even less heat from the sun as white will bounce back a LOT of IR light.
Edit: There are also curtain rods that come with two rails, to hang sheer curtains between the window and the thicker curtains. You can use that to have two sets. White curtains and the whatever other color you want.
BCP Set of 4 Bronze Color Heavy Duty Curtain Rod Brackets for 3/4 or 5/8 Inch Rod https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HGGU9SS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JuV.AbN1M8S5M
Curtain rod brackets, Just over a dollar a piece. I mounted them sideways and kept my sensors in their original stands and hung them upside down on the curtain brackets so the base of the camera stands sits on top of the brackets and the sensor hangs below.
i was thinking a tension rod like:
https://www.amazon.com/RoomDividersNow-Premium-Tension-Curtain-120in-150in/dp/B01HFQHYZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523303310&sr=8-1&keywords=tension+rod+150+inch
They work up to 12 foot 6 inches. Then you can attach whatever you want on it, like a dog leash or just cable strips
I use a curtain rod and these clips -
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Curtain-Clip-Rings-Black/dp/B01MQRRDNF?keywords=clips+for+curtain+rod&qid=1540811536&s=Kindle+Store&sr=8-2&ref=sr_1_2
Works with all kinds of sizes of quilts and is fast and easy.
http://www.morgik.com/drapery-hardware/ring-options/
morgik might be expensive but this is just an example,
rings with eyelets,
this looks like a cheaper alternative just make sure they are slightly bigger then your rod.

and then get these pinch pleat hooks and stick the needle in the back of the pleat and the other end through the eyelet and it should hold.
https://www.amazon.com/Curtain-Silver-Rustproof-Stainless-Drapery/dp/B07CXS9GQZ/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=metal+pinch+pleat+hook&qid=1550803869&s=home-garden&sr=1-6
i work in drapery/upholstery these metal pinch pleat hooks is generally what we use for pinch pleat on rings with eyelets.
Get a tension rod and curtain that blocks sun which is probably $20 or less total.
I see that you need 10-12 ft...
You'll need a bigger tension rod like https://www.amazon.com/RoomDividersNow-Premium-Tension-Curtain-120in-150in/dp/B01HFQHRE8?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
And 2-4 curtains.
It'll be around $100.
Or you can buy a room divider https://www.amazon.com/s?k=room+divider&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
Hang your Fleur on the brick. Either drill and put in a screw or get some brick clips.
I'd borrow a hammer drill and get a permanent screw mounted dead center above the mantle. Even if you move, someone will always use it to hang something.
Other than that, lets start with the basics.
As for the curtain panels for the other window, maybe something like this that matches the carpet style. Since you have window blinds already, you don't really need full on blackout curtains..so some nice semi sheer curtains would look nice. Just push them off to the sides of the window to create the look of curtains...or open the blinds and close them to have privacy but let in light
And if you white wash the brick and stain the mantle a nice dark walnut color...I think the sage green would go nicely.
(https://www.homedepot.com/p/Home-Decorators-Collection-Copley-52-in-Indoor-Outdoor-Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Ceiling-Fan-51504/206648583) Brass dates a house so any time you can get rid of it, you should.
Thanks!
I really wanted to make a jig and I tried using my grandfather’s old sketchy router but I think I had dull bits or just used it incorrectly (highly possible) but it was a fiasco. My wife was happy, so I let it slide.
Here’s the wire and clips we used:

Sensors don't have to be up high and looking down, it's just better cause it gets them out of the way for installations you leave in place and slightly less prone to occlusion. You can put the one that would be in the middle of the room just on the floor or on a table and angle it accordingly, though you might have to do the sensor setup proceedure to use it each time.
You can use poles like these or simple tripods anywhere in your room (some people use them just to keep from putting screws in the walls) to create a temporary place to mount them and route the cables.

DP to HDMI should work fine for the TV. I love my Vive Link Box for a similar purpose (frees up my only hdmi for my projector in my case), which makes the cabling for extending the headset easy because it's not finicky about brands/models, but for just running your TV probably any ole dp>hdmi will work.
