Best workout & training socks for women according to redditors

I've gone through so many myself. The only ones I have found to work are vans for regular wear and nike when for when I'm working out. They're a little pricey for socks but totally worth it.

i run and started running to get in shape. here are my recommendations:

doctor's visit: i think /r/running has that in their FAQ to cover their ass in case someone with no sense hurts themselves - every gym tells you to "see a doctor before starting any fitness regimen," but most people do not do that. i feel like that is more of a warning for people who have serious, pre-existing health conditions and/or are seriously obese. i wouldn't see a doctor unless you are worried about hurting yourself and you probably won't do that if you start slow and build distance correctly.

socks: you do not need fancy socks, but you do need "athletic socks." they're basically socks made out of different material so that you don't get blisters. if there's a sports authority in your area, go there and get what's cheapest. this is what they look like, but you can find something cheaper. if you decide you hate running, you can always use these to do yard work in.

sports bras: you only need a fancy sports bra if you have large breasts. DO NOT RUN IN A REGULAR BRA. i go on /r/abrathatfits and have spent $$$ for bras, but i get my sports bras for $15 max at target because i don't need a sports bra with underwire. do not waste your money on a bra from lululemon. buy a cheap compression bra at target - example - and use it for yoga if you end up needing one with underwire. if you run in the compression bra and it's uncomfortable, try a DD+ sports bra.

shoes: this is the only thing i would recommend spending money on. if you can't afford your ideal running shoe, at least buy a running shoe that's similar. if your best fit is X model of Brooks, it's better to run in Y model of Saucony than run in Converse Chuck Taylors.

You say you like to just throw meat into a pan? I do the same thing, but then chop it up into little bits, throw it in a bowl with lettuce, tomato, and avocado, and a dollop of sour cream, and I have my very own semi-healthy Chipotle at home! :-)

I could really use some longer length toe socks for running, like these. I have several of the ankle length ones, but it's getting real cold out here haha!

My favorite joke to tell - mostly because it irritates Marcus so much - is:

ive tried multiple brands over the years, Taft and invisasox being two of them. Tafts suck, i purchased 2 4 packs and they all have a hard time staying on. Invisasoxs fit great but imo are way too thin. Now im currently using promountains from amazon and theses are hands down the best no shows ever.
