Roving means that the yarn is pulled into strands, but not twisted. It also usually has the more variant thickness. Here is a picture of roving yarn:

The yarn in question is both roving (not twisted) and variable thickness. My advice is don’t wash whatever you make with it or it will shrink and felt.

I was working on a bigger project (hugeass blanket) and I thought I should take a break. Thankfully I found this playful yarn it’s called Pomp-a-Doodle it’s not the exact product but it’s the best I could find :)

This looks very similar to a blanket I made recently. It's made with pre looped wool that is crocheted/knitted by finger. If it is this wool, it's super easy to use and so soft to the touch. See the link below for an example of it:

It looks similar. I've never used King Cole or seen it in a store. I'll keep my eyes open for it.
Look at the website becozi.net they have chunky and jumbo chenille yarn, as well as I found some on amazon. Those are probably closer than any of the blanket yarn in store, although Bernard does have a big blanket yarn too.

Hi There - new to knitting and loving it. What I've done to practice is buy this package and knit different swatches of patterns to develop.
The pattern I'm on right now is a basic basket weave but I've come across something consistently at the end of my rows where it looks like I have two stitches I need to work instead of 1. And I know it's on - I keep count. I'm attaching an example here. IF you look on the ends, it shows sort of what's going on. It's most acute when I change from knit to purl from one row to the next.

So i was looking on amazon for yarn and i found a huuuge 2187yd ombre skein, and i want to make it into a cardigan like this. is there a method to help knit the sleeves into the ombre pattern too?i dont know if buying one or two of these skeins will be the best option
