MAGNETIZED!!!

Seriously do it. It is not that hard. I used a thin drill bit and very carefully drilled out holes on the minis to put the magnets. then I used green stuff in the hole and did a thin coat over the hole, so the magnet stays there. They are pretty strong. I will make a video when I get home to show you.

This book is a great read for fans of this faction, and it's a lot easier on the wallet than any of the models.

Don't be afraid of screwing up! It's not that scary to use at all, and you can practice on plastic bottles or bits of sprue before you commit to a real model.

For buying one, it really depends on your budget.

For the compressor, Fengda do reasonably priced compressors with an air tank (I'd highly recommend getting one with an air tank is it both gives the bump a break every now and then, and also gives you more consistent airflow through your brush). Here's an example of one such compressor

I went with an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush and don't regret it so far! I'd have a look around on /r/airbrush for more model reviews and ideas.

You can also try bass strings they come in a wider range of widths. I buy them from Amazon from less than 4€

I hated being dependant on the weather so I switched to black gesso (eg Handy Art Student Acrylic Gallon, Black Gesso https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007TIE4HQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dO0lDbJKMSNY6) and it works great for me!

The tournaments I attend don't care about what color scheme you use, as long as your opponent can identify that some units are from a different unit/<keyword>.

I play different <keywords> for my Guard, but they are all painted the same (I made my own regiment). I use small colored elastics the identify separate <keywords>. I think normally they are used for braces. Just wrap them around a gun or something.

EDIT: Just found these, on ebay: click.
