This book is the first three in the Elminster series. Definitely a good intro to the character as you read him growing into the Wizard he's now known to be. If you don't know anything about Elminster, like myself when I read them, it's another great intro trilogy for that character.
Happy reading. =)
There are compendiums now you can grab they are white bound soft covers that compress 3 books into 1 each. They are called 25th anniversary editions and the books are combined in Book 1 and Book 2 etc. (These are the order that user Jørg_ancraft has given) the 1st 3 books starting at Homeland Exile Soujourn (make up book 1) Shard Silver Gem (make up book 2).

You can check them out at Barnes and Noble they are in a different section tha alphabetical by author from what I recall I had to ask for help finding them.
Also note try Thriftbooks.com if your on a budget it’s where I get 99% of my books all used for 1/4 of the price sent to your door although you would have to probably buy them individually for a few bucks each. https://www.thriftbooks.com/series/the-legend-of-drizzt/37907/
I was skeptical when I was looking back I have tried some heady reads like wheel of time series or the malazan book of fallen series (10+ books each) they were not easy wheel had some very slow books and malazan, the writing is good but strange at times, both are good but I found Drizzit a very fun refreshing fantasy read.
Looks like it mike be legit.
