Here are the books specifically on erotic hypnosis that I'd actually recommend:

Mind Play by MARK Wiseman-- this one is linked in the sidebar to the right. It's a good overview of hypnosis in general, hypnosis play in the bedroom and in relationships, and the erotic hypnosis community.

Erotic Hypnosis Scripts by Chewtoy (me!). Obviously I'm biased on this one, ;) but I think it's full of fun ideas for play.

Hypnotic Amnesia by Lee Allure and DJ Pynchon. Obviously this is very specific, rather than covering hypnosis in general or even kinky hypnosis in general; but, well, amnesia play is hot. ;) The book covers a year-long dive the two authors made into every different technique they could think of for inducing hypnotic amnesia, with notes on their experiences.

Hypnotize Your Lover... Deeper by Wendi Friesen. Wendi is a successful hypnotherapist whose practice is mostly not centered around sexy stuff, but she doesn't conspicuously shy away from it as the larger hypnotherapy organizations seem to. This book is a sort of grab bag of different ideas, along with a decent introduction to hypnosis for those who are new to it.

The Mind Play Study Guide by Mark Wiseman. Sort of a sequel to Mind Play, this covers a few new topics, and appears to be written as a sort of guide to presenting classes on erotic hypnosis at kink conventions.

Look Into My Eyes: How To Use Hypnosis To Bring Out the Best In Your Sex Life by Peter Masters. Another overview including an introduction to hypnosis aimed at those new to it. A bit lighter on the D/s angle than, say, Mind Play.

Beyond Games of Trance by Alex Tsander. Actually I haven't finished reading this one yet, so I'm not sure about it; it's spendy and has a lot of "you kids get off my lawn" in the beginning.

(If anyone knows of more, I'd love to hear about them!)

I'll just add an echo for Mind Play - A Guide to Erotic Hypnois by Mark Wiseman

There are a number of erotic hypnosis groups on Fetlife. Which is a route to finding events near you and other people doing hypnosis.

For books I also like to recommend:

Monsters and Magical Sticks. There's no such thing as Hypnosis by Steven Heller

Trance-Formations Neuro Lingustic Programming and the Structure of Hypnosis by Richard Bandler & John Grinder

Specifically the Exercises I, II and III :)

Before Mind Play came along and became the Defacto community standard this was my go to recommendation:

Look Into my Eyes by Peter Masters

Your wife will know you are both new at this. One common bit of advice is to "Be The Hypnotist". Which is to say have absolute confidence that what you are doing will work.

The moment you have success - and with a willing partner like this there is no reason you won't - it gets easier to build on that.

Humans have a habit of rationalizing. Which means afterwards they say "I was just playing along" or "I didn't feel hypnotised", which can be one of the hardest parts to overcome. Having some experience and being pretty damn sure they were hypnotised it got easier after convincing them they were.

There are set pieces out there that utilise an induction and the 'convincers'.

In the UK Anthony Jacquin or Jonathan Chase present similar training material for Street Magic.

Here's there set piece.

Here's there inductions and if I got the link right there should be a whole series in the playlist.

(If you want to look into that more then "Reality Is Plastic" by Anthony Jacquin )

But that's not erotic or in the bedroom. His style is chatty and sharp and he might have picked the volunteers from the audience.

So how do you do this in the bedroom?

It wouldn't hurt to "do a roleplay". In which she imagines she is the best hypnotic subject ever and for want of a better explanation, plays along.

It can be that simple.

Before, During and After try and get your partner to talk about her experience.

Remember the way she describes things - because if you use similar language it will work better.

(That's what the exercises in Trance Formations cover).

On the subject of audio files. It may help you a great deal to study how others talk. Hypnotists have 'a voice'.

You can also listen to them without going into Hypnosis and you can skip through parts.

May a few minutes of induction and then to half-way through to get to the 'content'.

Your wife may listen to a few files and just find them very erotic - in which case you can use the suggestions that they are using as material to hone in on what she likes to hear.

Check out Callahan's Lady by Spider Robinson. It's set in a brothel with all sorts of strange things going on, at one point involving mass mind-control.

A few works of John D. MacDonald (a favorite author of both Spider Robinson and Dean Koontz) touch on some odd mind-control themes, notably Wine Of the Dreamers and Nightmare In Pink, but they're less deliberately erotic.
