I use these headphones:

Superlux HD-681 EVO Professional Monitoring Headphones, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CAG1ZG0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_7AkUzbCVSG86Q

With this amp:

FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HAkUzbYGA914H

For me, the amp made all the difference in the world. It made everything pop and crystal clear. They were pretty good without the amp too. Don't buy into the 5.1 or 7.1 BS. Listen to this video with stero headphones...

What do you mean "standard military watches"?
The official standard military watch is the MIL-W-46374 which does not now, nor has it ever had a compass.

Now, you can buy a wrist-mounted compass for pretty cheap like this dive compass, but again, as someone that's used those (certified PADI and NAUI diver for 13 years), you can get a general bearing on them because they're designed for high visibility (vis gets really shitty in some waters) but you're not going to quickly (within a second like the original guy I responded to was talking about) get a precise bearing off of them.

I get that compasses would be a good thing in Tarkov. Hell, I've wished for them plenty of times myself... but the way the guy I originally responded to was talking about, isn't going to be a thing. We're not going to get some instant-bearing compass wheel like in PUBG. The last confirmation from Nikita was that we're going to get a physical compass we have to pull out and use. Until that changes, or someone else from BSG comes in and says, "Hey, we're putting in a HUD/UI compass," talking about using a compass for making callouts in the middle of a firefight is a dream. If you want to say, "The southside door," you learn which side is the south beforehand so you're not grabbing for a compass while you're getting shot at.

I know most the items are based off of real items and like 98% of the backpacks are directly copied like this

u/wrongday · 1 pointr/EscapefromTarkov

I got a pair of those

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001T7QJ9O/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1527528740&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=shooting+ear+muffs+electronic&dpPl=1&dpID=41jomi%2B5tbL&ref=plSrch

What it does is control the ambiant volume with some little microphones. You got a knob to ajust it. And when you shoot, it shut the earphones off so your ears are protected.

Late reply my bad- but I upgraded to some Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X (here).

I can't share the actual wishlist because it seems to reveal private information even if I try and remove the private information from the list.

I didn't get very far on it, just some random items I could find.

IFAK

Red Pliers

Yellow Pliers

Keybar

Grizzly

Hatchet

Trizip

I tried to be as accurate as I could be. If the item has exact information about it in game, I will try to find that exact item. Otherwise I choose whatever looks closest.

Because tribalism, as is the case with the vast majority of conflicts in human history.

You know, back when I was 14, I got something similar to the longstrike. It wasn't nerf, but it fired wet paper balls you could handload and stuff into the magazine strip, cycle it through a bolt, and pull back a pump to store air pressure and shoot.

As it turns out, the magazine strip thing had the perfect circumference to fit a 3mm BB, and you could line up about six of them inside of the "chamber" as long as you closed both ends with a wet paper ball.

Yup, I was running around with a bolt action, air-pressure shotgun. And I was not very popular in nerf wars.

Edit: Found the item!

The trouble with trying to read people on the internet is that more often than not, you're wrong.

It would be an okayish burn if I actually gave a shit. But who actually gives a shit on the internet. You..... you do.

That's the sad part. Or the funny part, you decide since you have such a hard time telling the difference with your terribly unfunny jokes.

Pair this with a good joke book and maybe then you'll be a halfway decent human being.

8GB of ram is ~$60. As games get more intricate there is a need for more ram. Phones are getting more ram, consoles are getting more ram, every electronic is getting more ram. Would you complain that Battlefront 2 needs too much disk space? Fuck no. There is a technical requirement for what the program is outputting and in the end your gameplay experience is going to be worse on 8gb. Complaining that it doesn't run well on 8gb makes it sound like there should be an expectation for it to run well on 8gb, and there shouldn't. What they are making is beyond what 8gb can provide. Next you are going to be complaining that water is too wet.

I'm not shifting goal posts, every time someone says "the game isn't well optimized" when in reality their hardware doesn't meet the requirement for smooth gameplay, it makes it seem like the devs didn't do the work when the problem is you bought something you couldn't run well.

If you can complain about whatever you pay for, then buy some more fucking RAM and complain about that. Fuck me I can't even believe this conversation is happening.

I'll even put in a link for you:

I'm not saying this to bash you, but I really wish gamers would stop acting like hardware bans are the perfect solution to cheaters. There's a reason that's the general reply, because it's true.

>its extremely difficult and very expensive

This is simply not true at all. I can't give specific names from my time working in the game industry, but almost every studio agrees they're a waste of time to even implement. The amount of time it takes for a team of developers to implement a system that not only detects these cheats, but then also hardware bans the user is far greater than the time it takes for the cheater to google "how to spoof hardware ID". You don't even have to replace parts anymore, there's software that will do all of it for you. Almost all of these acronyms you're throwing out (which everyone just calls hardware bans) can be fixed with spoofing software, and worst case, a new $12 network card for those that can't be spoofed.

>A cheater will stop returning when he realizes "Oh shit, not only do I have to spend x amount of dollars to be able to access this product, NOW I have to buy the product.

Maybe 10-15 years ago, but also not true at all. Once again if you google "how to spoof hardware ID" or similar you'll see tons of "fixes" and cheap solutions. Back in the day when people didn't post this kind of stuff openly on the internet, sure it was harder to cheat and avoid hardware bans. It's so easy to do now it's practically a joke.

Do you really think spending money is the deterrent for these cheaters? Almost every single one of them knows that they will probably get banned at some point using them. They've practically accepted that fact once they load up the cheats. I would like you to find me anybody that uses hacks, has been banned for hacks, and then acts genuinely surprised by this. They all know it's coming and they all know if they want to keep playing after they'll have to spend more money.

>I just want BSG to actually be more vocal about this and as a business, present us with some solutions or a roadmap or something to help fight these cheaters.

I really wish I wasn't tearing your post apart, but honestly they should not do this at all, in relation to cheating. No game studio would ever do such a stupid thing. Why would you tell the public when you're going to be fixing cheats?

Really, think about it.

If I gave the community an incredibly vague roadmap even, and it said "Q3 2019 anti-cheat". That's it, that's all it says. Then the cheat makers know to look at what files have changed during a certain time period, Q3 2019. This gives them a roadmap for where they can exploit, because you're showing them what was vulnerable before. If they know what was vulnerable before, then they know what to look for in other places. You don't give cheat makers any information at all.

Contrary to this subreddit's belief Nikita has given us enough information. He has acknowledged that cheating is a problem, both in the podcasts and some reddit posts, and has even said that they're looking at a few 3rd party solutions. One of which being BattlEye. I would argue that going as far as stating which anti-cheat platforms you're looking at using is also a bad move until it's implemented and shipped.

Nobody is denying that cheaters are a problem, but don't ever think that a hardware ban is the best solution. It is the furthest thing from the best solution in 2019 and has been that way for at least 5-10 years now.
