I'd always recommend buying a solid automatic watch. Watches like MK, DW, fossil, etc, are cheaply made with Chinese parts and usually run on quartz and are meant to be replaced when they start to break down. Investing in an automatic can really ensure you have a great watch that will last.

Like mentioned, the skx007 is a great watch and will last you a lifetime. You can also mod this watch quite easily as well and the movement will last forever. Many watch enthusiasts love Seiko, myself included (have 3 will probably get more). Seiko 5's are also solid entry-level watches and many come in around the $100 mark depending on model: https://www.amazon.com/Seiko-SNK789-Automatic-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0018N0HL0/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=seiko+5&qid=1565104496&s=gateway&sr=8-4

The Orient Bambino is also a great entry-level automatic dress watch with a few different dial combos: https://www.amazon.com/Orient-Bambino-Japanese-Automatic-Stainless/dp/B01N45HWRM

For a cheaper diver, the Orient Ray/Mako lines are good as well: https://www.amazon.com/Orient-FAA02004B9-Display-Japanese-Automatic/dp/B01AK5TQXG/ref=sr_1_2?crid=K6K5EI9K3HA7&keywords=orient+mako+2&qid=1565104421&s=gateway&sprefix=orient+mako%2Caps%2C187&sr=8-2

If you can spend more you can look at Hamilton's Khaki line or Jazzmaster, Seiko Sumo or Seiko Sarb033, Sinn Watches, Chris Ward, Squale, Junker's Bauhaus or Max bill if you like the Daniel Wellington Style.

You can even look at used/vintage and get a nice Omega Seamaster for ~$500

I'm fond of the following T-Shirts

$12 - $20: Next Level 6010 - Triblend 50Cotton/25Poly/25Rayon - Amazon Link

$12 - $18: Canvas 3413C Triblend 50Cotton/25Poly/25Rayon - Amazon Link

$14 - $26: American Apparel 50/50 Poly-Cotton - Amazon Link - American Apparel Link

The Next Level fits small for length but normal size for shoulders, I personally wear a medium in most sizes and felt large fit well for length but poorly in my shoulders, the material feels great though.

Canvas is the brand we use at my work for shirts, the material fits well, it fits fairly small so I went with a large and the overall look is what I'd expect. It feels similar to the Next brand from above as well.

The American Apparel one is more expensive now because they stopped producing them for a bit so the Amazon sellers are a bit pricerer than if you get them direct from American Apparel and utlize their free shipping. It fits well, I also went a size up (large) and most of my favorite shirts are the Poly-Cotton.

All prices vary based on size / color on Amazon, AA has a set price regardless of size/color.

Background: spent a few weeks looking for Sperry top siders. Originally bought an authentic original (a/o) size 7.5 for ~$130 it was too big I'm an actual size 7.5US. Did some research and found out gold cups were higher quality and more comfy. Amazon.com (US) sells them for a wide range of prices. I bought my gold cups for $84 USD which is ~$112 CAD after tax and with free shipping. Such a steal. Sperry Canada has same ones at $200 CAD before tax.

Fit:
7.5M US a/o when walking with these on, my heels would slip out. I wear 7.5 US Lacoste shoes and am a 7.5US measured on the foot scale. Returned them

For the 7M US a/o gold cups they fit snug. You can adjust the laces for tightness which is great. And the quality is there. When I put my foot in them initially it feels like astounding. Very supple and smooth. Feels great man.

Now the bad part: for the gold a/o I have flat feet, so the smaller sizes are narrow for me. My joints at my pinky toe and big toe rub against the shoe and hurts after extended wear. Partially it's because of the break in period and my flat feet. Would liked to have a wide format.
Also, the shoes are varied. You might get a lemon, I had problems with the stitching on my first gold a/o had to return them as it was poking my foot with every step. Bought a second one and it's better.

Amazon does not ship to Canada. I purchased mine and shipped it to a parcel pickup place across the border and picked it up there. Maybe you got a friend who can grab it for you and ship it to your house.

Hope this helped, and good luck!

I have the Wahl Peanut. Really great beard trimmer. I can't see myself switching to anything else.

I got mine as a gift from my aunt who is a hair dresser, and she got it from a beauty supply store. Which one, I don't know, and they probably don't have a website. But check out any local beauty supply shops around you. Even ask a barber or hairdresser where you might find one.

All else fails, Amazon sells it. But it's a little overpriced through there.

Still a little puffy but I love Woolrich

If you don't care about money, the John Rich & Bros version

there's no slim gloves that will keep you truly warm. There's no air to heat up and keep you warm, and your fingers don't generate enough heat by themselves, so a slim glove won't really be able to insulate very well.

when I was a bike messenger, I'd switch between mits and neoprene gloves (ie for fishing or for underwater work). Those worked pretty good but actually made my fingers sweaty. I got mine from mec but these ones on amazon look good: https://www.amazon.ca/West-Chester-96650-Synthetic-Waterproof/dp/B002ZPGW32/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537046691&sr=8-2&keywords=neoprene+gloves+winter

Assuming this is for those Churchs you bought - I'd straight up recommend Saphir Medaille D'or Renovateur. The cheapest vendor I could find was in QC

The alternative is the non medaille d'or line Amazon.

Here's another basic conditioner from Loding

Pure mink oil is complete overkill on dress shoes or thin leather. Good for thicker leather boots/jackets b/c it can make the products more weather resistant + matches the colour tones of the generally darker products.

However, in the end they are just white sneakers so the only things you really need are a cleaning brush (old toothbrush will work), conditioners and maybe some shoe trees. I recommend the J&M's

[Jiffy Steamer](ESTEAM Personal Hand Held Steamer, 120 Volt https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0018ZHHS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3pe5Bb11TY5A6)

I’ve used it for clothes and for some tapestries and it’s worked great!

Merkur safety razor and these blades (Feather is another good brand of blades, more expensive though).

Bought the combo about 3 years ago, haven't even used half the blades yet. Massive savings.

Don't go crazy and spend a bunch of money on things you won't use on a daily basis.

Cleanser, Moisturizer and Sunscreen (on certain days) as per SkincareAddiction wiki are all you need.

I would recommend picking up CeRave at Wal-Mart or Shoppers Drug Mart for a cleanser.

This moisturizer if you find the CeRave cost per use too expensive https://www.amazon.ca/Vaseline-Intensive-Advanced-Repair-Unscented/dp/B003M5QU04

And the Equate brand sport sunscreen should suffice.

Together it should cost roughly $25.

The biggest factor imo is drinking enough water, avoiding too much sun and trying to eat cleaner.

Being healthy should be 80% of your skincare routine and the products should contribute the last 20%.

Total fashion noob here.

I want to buy a nice pair of boots/dress boots for new years.

I've been wearing sperrys for the past 8 years in my life. No longer in college, so I need some advice.

I was thinking about these:

  • Clarks - Around $60 for beeswax leather, brown suede, and dark brown. Not sure which one would look good with light khakis and/or dark blue jeans

  • Bruno Marc - around $40 - thinking about getting the sand color

  • London Fog - $45 thinking about either brown or tan

    Any advice?

Hey all,

I purchased a pair of red wing iron rangers for roughly $200 final sale after shipping and unfortunately they do not fit.. wondering if anyone would be interested in them here or if anyone knows of a place I could sell them. Thank you!

Same style as the boots in the link provided

no problem, costco is likely your best bet.

as for amazon, i have these from there: https://www.amazon.ca/Champion-Fleece-Pullover-Crimson-X-Large/dp/B005CSOXDA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1484086842&sr=8-6&keywords=champion+hoodie

they go on sale to around $20 or less every so often, just keep an eye out. they shrink a lot though in the wash so keep that in mind. i have the zip up version too.

I SWEAR by Feather Blades, but they take a bit of attention. I do a two-pass shave in the shower using a shower mirror.

I have sensitive skin, but I can shave every day and my skin barely notices.

Here's an Amazon link for bulk, but I also grab single packs at House of Knives.

A lot of Allen Edmonds are 30% off at checkout. Prices are all over the place depending on size/model, but there were some decent deals considering AE is not all that accessible up here. Worth digging if you're in the market for a quality dress shoe.

For example, 9.5EEE Walnut Strands can be had for $347.85 all in, a decent price for Canadians.

Also, Naked & Famous is marked down for Prime members or 30% off at checkout. Not nearly as good as that one insane sale where they went for $25-$30 a pair, but still well below their MSRP.
