Yes, very happy! I use mine daily. It's got a beautiful screen, battery life is great, charges fast, pretty awesome sound for a tablet, and I love writing on it. When I first got it I was debating between it and an ipad pro 10.5. I think I'd be happy with either, but I really am loving this tab.

Two accessories I'd pick up:

I'd definitely get a case for it since the glass back picks up smudges like none other. This is the one I use and it's great: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UP37UKK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also if you plan to write or draw on it (my main use) then you should pick up one of these staedtler pencils: https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-accessories/tablets/staedtler--noris--digital-samsung-pencil-gp-u999eripaab/. The stock pen has a button on it that gets easily pushed on accident and is really annoying.

Enjoy it!

>Would that charge the battery? Or is there circuitry in the device that controls the charge?

The circuitry is generally needed on devices, I don't know if any battery could be charged without some sort of sensor for safety reasons. All this is beyond the scope of this subreddit.

>AND, if I can't plug a charger directly into a battery, can I wire it to my Nightcore charger?

Oh god what? The thing that recharges AA batteries and the like. Is it even rated for the Galaxy tab voltage and amp wise?

>And if not, are there any options to charge the battery while it's outside of the device?

Don't, just replace the circut with something like this. Games&Tech 3 x USB Charging Charger Port Data Connector + Tools for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 P3200 P3210 T210 T210R T211 T217A SM-T217S SM-T217A https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2HR8AG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Uuj.BbGV7T8QD

All questions related to battery charging and circuits is probably way beyond the scope of this subreddit you really need to get a better answer elsewhere, or educate yourself up more on it. There is probably a solution, where you rig a circut between the charger and the batter and have a quick disconnect to make it easy. But for that effort why not watch a YouTube how to replace the port and knock it out in a few minutes.

Hence the USB-C hub recommendation. You can do it whichever way you'd like but I think it'd be a better setup with a hub.

This works great and also enables DeX https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FWT7MEA/

You don't want to use the wireless charger you linked to because it's for iPhones, but this one should work OK. Being off center just means balancing it over the induction stand might be tricky. You can place something else under the edge that hangs over more to support the tablet.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but this Suptek stand is great:

Literally any bluetooth mouse is fine or usb wire/less + USB C OTG wire (like this one). You can't charge the Tab while using a USB mouse unless you get another adapter so I'd probably recommend the bluetooth option unless you want to use it with more devices

I got this one from Amazon in frost clear for my silver tab s3. Its pretty miminalistic and doesn't add bulk. The textured parts help with grip too. No issues accessing all the ports and button. Not luxurious like the iPad leather back cover (which i dont think exists?) , but not rugged like some other ones out there.

I have the Fintie Bluetooth keyboard and case for my Galaxy Tab 4 7 inch and I like it. It must have metal in the bottom because the magnet in the case it sits on holds the kbd in place. Here's one for the 10 inch. $33usd.

I bought the Omoton and like it.

You could try a powered OTG cable like this.

I'm not saying it will for sure work, but you can plug a power microUSB into it, and it doesn't pass through to the device, but powers the OTG device. So, theoretically, it should provice external power to your OTG external HD.

This one has been working for me. It is not Bluetooth. I am not quite sure how it works, but it does.

Adonit Jot Dash

Edit: I use it with a Tab S2 8.0
