Totally agree mate. I’ve only had a handful of sessions but already been finding that digging out bags of monsters and tokens slows things down considerably! Thanks for the comment too.

  1. Snopake 15174 Eligo 13 Part Desk Storage Expander A4 Landscape Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0012334Z2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_aQxZBbNX6N9P9 Here is an example of what I mean. Just make sure to buy an accordion style one and not one that splays open from the bottom as It just won’t be large enough to hold everything.

  2. Exactly correct. Archers have one envelope, guards another, bosses another. Just sort the monsters out by their decks.

  3. I used probably around 2x a3 sheets. I recycled all of mine as tonnes of the stuff is wasted at my work. Check on trade websites too mate, I think amazon will be expensive for that sort of stuff. The foamboard architects use to make their models is exactly what you want. Mine was also 3mm thickness although the link I provided in another comment used 5mm thickness (I just accounted for the 2mm difference in my measurements). I actually think balsa wood would be perfect mate. It’s nice and light too although it may well cost a lot.

Hope this helps and if there is anything else I can answer then please ask!

This is my setup. Setup/Teardown of each play session isn't troublesome anymore.

-2 Counter Trays. I can store most of the enemy standees and some of the random tokens like treasure chests and traps.

-Plano 23620-01. This is where I store all of the tokens like XP, Damage, Conditions, etc. This is also where the rest of the big enemy standees go (except the huge dragon). I can also fit random tokens like Doors, Bookshelves/Coffins, etc.

-Smead Expanding File. This is where I organize all the tile/map pieces. Everything fits comfortably except the "T" pieces.

-Avery Binder and BCW Pocket Pages. This binder acts like the Item Shop and can easily be opened to show available items. I even covered locked items with construction paper to be "unlocked" when Prosperity reaches a certain level.

-Ultra Pro Deck Boxes. I store everyone's Class cards here. The bottom compartment holds the Class/HP/XP tokens, Items purchased, and Attack Modifier Deck.

-Construction Paper. As a solution to organize/retrieve the needed enemy Stats Cards and Enemy Ability Decks, I created a sleeve out of construction paper for the Stat Card, leaving enough room to fit the respective Ability Deck as well. I sleeve most of the cards, so I put all 8 ability cards into a "City/Event sleeve", then throw it into the Stat Card sleeve I just made. Hope that made sense.

You probably want to go back in and clean up your lines a bit. I can see some bleed from the tunic onto the left leg, from the arms onto the bands, and a few other places. Totally normal but I would strongly suggest some jewelry goggles. I use this one personally:

https://www.amazon.com/SE-Illuminated-Dual-Flip-Magnifier/dp/B003UCODIA/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=jewelry+goggles&qid=1565111795&s=gateway&sr=8-15

Other than that good work. The wash and the dry brush on the tunic looks great. You did a great job on the wash and brush on the hands as well.

A binder with card pocket pages makes item storage and selection sooo much easier! We keep the Random Items in two separate pages, whenever the time to choose one comes, we just smack them down on the table face-down and select one. Alternatively, you can use a random number generator off the internet.

I got mine from a friend who ordered them from Amazon, so I can't be sure what brand he got, but it's something like these pocket pages here.

Edit: It should be stated, however, that the item binder does not fit in the original GH box. We're using a organizer to keep things tidy within the box, but then we keep our items separated in their own special binder, and we keep map tiles alphabetically ordered in an accordion folder, together with the party sheets, unlockable envelopes, removable stickers, etc. All of these goodies fit snugly into a large, blue IKEA bag, handy for those Grab'n Go situations.

Sounds like you already bought coins that you like, but I figure I'll just make a quick plug for the ones I got and really like: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CICTZS/

Looking at the other options in this thread, I guess these are a little on the pricier side at $10 for 30 coins. I like them because I think they fit the "rough n tumble" theme of Gloomhaven!

I'm in the same boat, but after a lot of research I have decided to create my own one box storage solution. Looking on etsy and amazon gave me more ideas and eventually led me to purchase more "essential" stuff for the game, therefore making all those storage solutions inadequate if I want everything to fit into the base box.

"Essential" stuff:

Yeah. The game is a beast. The game's main appeal is also a big part of its annoyance. Every time you play you'll be embarking on a new dungeon with different features & different monsters who have different abilities. With that amount of variability, also comes the need to organize and set up new content every time you play. When I play with my groups, I ALWAYS determine our scenario path beforehand, and get everything set up and ready before people arrive. I have also bought a couple Plano organization boxes, An expanding file for the map tiles, CD sleeves for the monster cards, and small dice to replace the monster damage counters. That all helps speed up setup & play a bit, but it's not necessary.

What type of rules do you have questions about?

I highly recommend using the New Player content that's out there, such as the First Game Setup Guide and doing a search on /r/Gloomhaven to read a couple threads of frequently missed rules.

I've got myself these things:

It’s just sheets of 5mm foam with a paper outer layer. Found them on amazon. Really easy to work with. Just need a very sharp blade and some white glue

One of these for each class: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002TT3B6

And then another 4 in different colors for each player. Store your unlocked abilities/perks in your player box, locked ones stay in the class box. You can even fit your mini box in these. Except Two-Minis, of course.

Check your local game stores, or even Walmart, first, as it will probably be a lot cheaper there.

You also print your own! BoardGameGeek has all the files uploaded and you can print them on removable sticker paper (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00007LVEU/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Works for me well

D6 is fine early, but you rapidly get into guys that have 10+ hp. D10s or D12s would probably work for all but the toughest guys.

We do the same thing and use these red dice for normal monsters:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0011WMAFO

And then a set of yellow ones for elite monster and spin them down from max as they take damage so we can quickly at a glace of the card tell what the health is at And what shield level they have with out looking back and fourth at the standee and the card.

Another small tip that i have found helpful is when we setup monsters i put a coin under the dice. this helps me remember to put it on the board when they die.
When a monster is summoned I don't put a coin on the mat then I don't have remember later that they don't drop a coin.
