(Part 2) Top products from r/HotWheels

About once a week I search Amazon for "Hot Wheels" and filter by price ($5-7 for Premium/Pop Culture/Retro Entertainment/id, and $12-15 for Team Transports) and by Prime. You have to look at the pictures, not the description. I've always gotten what was pictured unless it was a generic photo of the whole set. In that case, you don't know what you'll get. You have to take the time to look through the search results. That's just the way I do it. Somebody else may have a different method. I've had pretty good luck, the cards are usually in better shape than the ones I find at my local Walmarts, but sometimes they ship in a bubble envelope and those get pretty bent up.

These work really well for that, be careful in the panel lines. I have found that the paint tends to be thinner in those area so the acetone will eat through the paint really quickly. I know you're across the pond but I'm pretty sure you can find these in your area.

Hot Wheels designers normally come from actual car companies like Ford, BMW etc or from movie/game design studios, so they come from all around the world. The studio is based in the states (California I think)

How to draw cars the Hot Wheels way Link is an excellent book showing the process Hot Wheels designers take (It's a few years old though) There's a few more books that focus on the cars themselves but not specifically the designers :D

This Amazon seller has three Bruce Wayne Collection sets left.

Despite the name, it doesn't have any Batmobiles but it does have a tiny Alfred Pennyworth attached to the base. The other two cars are a Shelby Cobra and a (Ferrari) Dino 246 GTS. The selection of cars is supposedly based on cars visible in Bruce Wayne's garage for a split second in one of the Schumacher films, I think it was Batman and Robin.

They come with the Radical Roadway and Crash Curve sets. They may have been included in some other sets but I know they come with the two listed. I've got a set from 2001 or so that had the same tracks in gray, they used the same mold because it worked with these black tracks.

Some CVSs and Rite-Aids still sell these sets if you were looking for more.
