Granted, I'm not saying everyone who claims they are switching to Fitbit are spammers. But it's too often of a pattern to be accidental.

People outside of Jawbone communities :-) these days seem to be praising Samsung's Gear Fit 2. It's much more independent from a mobile phone than these "old school" fitness trackers like Up and Fitbit. And price is similar to Up3 before Jawbone sold its warehouse stock to the 3rd party which then dropped prices on Amazon and other places significantly.

Here in Europe (and I guess worldwide) there are also these cheap (€20-€35 price range) fitness trackers which are supposedly (judging by the reviews on Amazon) really good at tracking heart rate at real time. But they all seem to be the same model of some generic "Chinese" fitness tracker which depends on a really shitty mobile app, but you can hardly beat the functionality under this price:

And there are literally shitload of other options anywhere in between.

I'm also interested in the CubeSensors.

But I use a couple apps with my Up3.
Fitocracy app - I've been using fitocracy for a while its nice to keep tracks of lifts and routines while at the gym and provides great guides for newbies including videos. As for its intergration to Up's app it will only log a weight lifting time, and a cardio time.

Runkeeper - I don't use this one to much. Mostly to just walk the dog. I haven't used it in some time since you know, winter is a thing.

I also use Withings smart scale WS-30
Withings scale/app - this I like it provides a great, easy, quick way to keep a record of my weight that auto updates with the Up app. It will also give you a BMI but that doesn't auto log in your Up app. Also works multiple users, fitbit, android, and apple. So I can keep using it if I ever decide to switch
