Actually, Starless and Bible Black is it’s own album. You’d love middle period Crimson with John Wetton’s singing/bass. Red, Larks Tongue, Starless, USA, are all excellent.

I actually just watched Mandy, and had to see if anyone commented on the opening song because I love it, and it really draws you in.

Edit: oops, just pulled out my copy and remembered the actual song with vocals, Starless, is indeed on Red. Still, both are great albums.

The box sets are great, IMO. Lots of content that isn't available anywhere else, or is far more easily accessible in the box set. They're also well-priced - for the price Pink Floyd are charging for their Later Years set I could almost get On And Off The Road, Starless and the THRAK box.

The remixes (not remasters) are great, too. The 40th sets are also reasonably priced for a CD and DVD/Blu-ray set, and they usually contain a good amount of special content, as well as a 5.1 mix by Steven Wilson.

Thank you for your reply.

Additional question; which is the better version of the debut album, this or this?

I ask since sometimes, people have issues with remasters of certain albums and prefer the original.

Thanks again

I personally prefer the 2004 'Original Master Edition' mostly because it was the first one I hear. I don't think the 2009 stereo mix really adds much, although it is a somewhat interesting companion piece.

So if you don't yet have a copy of the debut I would recommend this one for sure. Having said that, since the other edition includes the 2004 mix as well as the 2009 one you can't go too far wrong.
