I am out of town, but can try to help..

Cheap soldering kits make it hard to get a good, consistent temperature on the tip, and the recovery time (time for the tip to get hot again after bringing it down by cleaning, etc) is poor. You'd want to get an adjustable one if possible. You could easily be working too hot and causing yourself problems. Lead free solder is harder to work with. I have a Hakko that I love, but something in this range would be a worthwhile investment and a fine iron.

As for the soldering, you really are just jamming the iron into the two pieces of metal you are trying to join, and then slowly feeding the solder into the junction. Use as little as you need to get a tiny, clean joint, and never a 'bubble'.

Removing solder is a horse of a different color. That is a pain in the ass. For that, you will want a lot of flux and a hot-hot iron (as hot as you can go before you start damaging things/burning down the house like you say). It's not fun to remove these components. Sometimes you get lazy and snip out the old one and try to work out the lead with a needle-nose and the iron (fluxed up hole) at the same time. Helping hands or a good vise can be crucial for this.

I'm no great master at it, but it's really one of those things you can pick up watching a few youtube videos or hearing instructions (with the right equipment) and pick up. I taught a friend the other day for a project they are working on. It really is just practice to get good, and that seems to happen quickly once you get a feel for working the solder.

Wow, what a downer of an account.

I don't need two crockpots so I'm just trying to give one of them a good home at a fair value for being brand new.

This is an excellent, highly rated product, not an alternative made on the cheap to fulfill Black Friday and only offered for that price after a mail-in rebate. Check out the comments on the thread associated with this picture for more.

And personally, I would much rather pick this up at someone's house than go out on Black Friday! Nobody should be supporting a store that's open on Thanksgiving anyway!

On top of that, your link shows a different model which has different features and also has a worse average review so yeah, not a fair comparison.

134$ at Amazon.

Here is the proof of my purchase: https://imgur.com/BYnkIiY

I bought it from Amazon because when I bought it at IKEA in Burbank, it was white and smelled like vomit (the couch and the table were refunded also). The receipt for that says "white" and was 49.99: "58 5/8x21 5/8", so you know it is indeed not the same as this black one. Not sure if it is exact same measures as the one I have now, but I'll upload a picture of my receipt purchase for IKEA to show they are two separate TV Stands.

In that receipt, you'll see all purchases I made at IKEA and their original cost. Some items were bought at IKEA, others were on Amazon which I can provide proof to interested buyers (couch, small table, office chair).

As I said from the beginning: "Prices are set at a reduced price of what I bought them at."

The original Arctic White is selling on Amazon Prime for $260.95.

Ebay has it up for $189.

Which leads me to believe that this run of the watch is indeed not "in stock" as the website says. I had to wait quite a while for my white while my black was sent instantly.

This is for someone who wants the watch immediately, they can come by anytime and purchase it from me :)

Cheers!

I am pretty sure I own none of these games! You don't happen to need a Wireless USB adapter do you?

http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WN725N-Wireless-Adapter-Miniature/dp/B008IFXQFU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407536531&sr=8-1&keywords=wireless+usb

I have an extra one that's brand new and in box I can trade.

What does "usually sells on Amazon for approximately $750" mean?

Because right now it's on sale for $550.

No worries.

My advice:

invest in

Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EJMS6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Cz6cBbH2E5RR9

And

TRX Training - Suspension Trainer Basic Kit + Door Anchor, Complete Full Body Workouts Kit for Home and on the Road https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YRB35I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YA6cBbYQW1CK3

And

URBNFit Exercise Ball (55 CM) for Stability & Yoga - Workout Guide Incuded - Professional Quality (Pink) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019730QQI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JB6cBb7XZWP9Y

And

A pair of 20 pound dumbbells.

My apartment doesn't have a gym either, so I just work out in my room with these. There are a ton of resources online for workout routines so Google and Reddit are your friend.

If you can't drop 150 on the straps, just buy the other 3 items. That'll get you started. And remember...
