That is a tubular lock pretending to be a cylindrical. It is complete garbage in every way and should not be sold but rather given away as it will surely break shortly as it is not a durable lock. I am pretty sure this guy was a huge fucking scammer, ironically he charge a $29 service call, that is how they get you, with low service calls and sky high prices for garbage. You likely googled the shit and got a scammer. This shit happens all the time and you are not the first to get conned. Frankly you schmucked yourself but realistically it is not like you knew any better. You fucked up and it is going to be a huge hassle to try to get your money back. Lastly you should really replace the lock with something else that is at least a similar color to the door.

I would recommend a Baldwin

Just one ok 2 recommend for ya Get rid of the Tamper Proof drivers and get this it takes a lot less room.

love the snap-on driver. Also swap out the 3/8 wrench for a 3/8 - 7/16 Combo if your doing closer work.

Guess I'm going to have to breakdown my Everyjob Backpack and snap a pick now. Front Pocket, Back Pocket, Front.

I do a lot of Access Control work,

This is an example of something I think he would appreciate, but I don't know if this would really fit his needs. I don't know all of the tools of the trade other than a torque wrench and the actual picks.

Sliding patio door locks are very rarely super secure in and of themselves, and like the fellow before noted, they only accept the lock they were designed for (mostly, anyway, afaik). What you want to do is reinforce along the track behind the sliding door as it's locked. Some folks just use a wooden dowel at the bottom. My shop also sells a product called a Charley Bar that is mounted on the middle of the frame behind the sliding door. It pivots up into the side track while the door is open or in use and back down into a catch mounted on the rear side of the sliding door when it's closed. Like so.

I have used these and they work great. They do have some different configurations for larger drawers and they are mountable. The bins are almost the same size as a standard 50 keyblank box from ilco.

If it's not locked to something the most cost effective thing would be to throw it out and buy a new one with the combo provided.

if it is attached to something apply a hammer, or cutters, then replace it.

It's $10 for the lock and a cable on amazon.

Bought it at Wal-Mart back in '09 for a hundred bucks I believe. I don't have the serial number to the safe but the keys are etched with some sort of numbering. I do however have the purchase receipt in my e-mail.

The link above says you get an over-ride key, but you don't.

No clue if it's any good or even rated for direct exposure to the elements, but this might work

Without the context of the rest of the lock, it's hard to say. Based on what's there, I'd say what we're seeing in the picture is probably either the override for a privacy function mortise lock (smaller square hole near top), or (less likely) the knob spindle hole of a mortise or crossbored lockset. Lack of screw holes around the hole make me strongly suspect the former. Either way, it's something meant to simply be turned with an appropriate sized square tool.

Looking up the code on the key, it's from the Corbin 5 pin series, says it takes an Ilco 1001EH blank. The milling of the key you have doesn't look the same as I see in the Ilco book for the 1001EH, but the key is definitely a Corbin 5-pin series, because the cuts I show for that code match the key you have. Likely a different keyway, but still Corbin. Can't tell for sure without a view of the tip of the key to see the keyway shape.
