I got this one. First I thought i put it on perfect, it was aligned with no bubbles. But then I realized from certan angles I could see a shimmering puddle of liquid in the middle. This was not a big deal to me because you could mostly not see it at all. Then the screen protector started to slide a little downwards which messed up the alignment but not enough to interfere with anything. Then a couple weeks in a crack appeared at the top.

I'm still using it but I don't think I'd recommend this one. I think the glue they use make it very good for not leaving bubbles but it seems to not dry all the way leaving it prone to movement and then cracking.

Best of luck finding a good one let us know about it when you do.

IQ Shield HD Clear. It's a liquid application screen protector, meaning you spray it down with a solution before applying, and let it dry. It's like those Zagg protectors people used to put on their iPods back in the day. I actually like it a lot more than I thought I would. The cutouts are perfect, and the application took just a few minutes. It's super clear, and doesn't feel rubbery or anything. They also make full body protectors.

That's pretty good. Really.

Is this with the stock camera app?

When I bought my X4 I had reservations about the camera after reading too many posts in here. Once I got the X4 I installed the GCAM and about 8-10 more cameras (I channeled the nerd in me). I did some tests and.... the stock camera is good enough for casual social media posts, more then good enough.

Now, for professional photography? Not really.

But here the thing (comparison), of someone really wanted something more "professional"

Price of Pixel 3 5.5" 64GB: $799

Price of X4 ($149) + price of "Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Camera Bundle with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens + 2pc SanDisk 32GB Memory Cards + Accessory Kit" ($439) = $588

I bet the Canon takes better pics/video than the Pixel

Add a WiFi sd card for $38.99.

>Also any good screen protectors or cases I should buy?

Spigen Rugged Armor is my recommendation. Good fit, nice feel, pleasantly textured buttons.

I got one of the [Supershield] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07765ZTT7/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) brand for mine. I have a black phone so the black outline doesn't bother me but it has protected my phone before and I've replaced it with the spare. I'd recommend it for function and in my opinion the cutouts match up very nicely.

Edit: I just noticed the picture on amazon shows it has a section missing at the bottom. Mine don't have that and my girlfriend's didn't either. But they could have changed their product I guess. I might buy another since I am out of spares now

Are you using a Quickcharge charger? If yes, check the connections. Sometimes lint or debris can get in there and you won't get Turbo Charge. Also if possible try a different charger. If the charger or cord is starting to get old they might not work for turbo charging. My original charger had the cord split. Now I use these chargers from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019GQ6S2C
They work great for turbo charging and I can replace the cord if it frays or I need something with a different length.

Picked up the Spigen Rugged Armor and really like it. Fits snugly, very slim, good bumpers around the camera hump. Only complaint is it's a little slick to the touch, hoping it will rough up over time. Previously tried the Dretal case. Very similar to the Spigen, but definitely felt cheaper with softer rubber, looser fit, and no camera hump bumper.

I went with Anker branded cables (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A6F3WHG) with an Aukey 18w charger with Qualcomm Quickcharge 3 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018RR30TK) and it works perfectly.

Just stick with the name brands for cables, and for chargers look for Qualcomm Quickcharge 3 with 18w and you should be good to go.

I have had good luck so far with the AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB-A Male 3.1 Gen2 Cable - 3 Feet (0.9 Meters). At the same time I updated to the April 1st 2019 security update. Since both of those Auto has been rock solid. Before that I'd get several disconnects to the point of getting a similar USB device error, even on short drives.

I still have to unlock the phone to get Auto started, unlike all the other phones in my household that connect automatically even when locked.

My HU is a Sony XAV-AX100.

I've been using my Anker 10 ft micro USB cables and they work just fine. I had to get a couple of these adapters for them. Havn't had any problems and seem to work well for fast charging.

Because of the curved display, most clear screen protectors only cover the screen and not the entire front.

This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07765ZTT7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_NClCCbYH6H7NQ

This cable fixed all the problems I was having been working great about 6 months now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01GN0M6NE?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Get a USB voltage/current meter and you'll know for sure. Here's a decent meter:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D9Y6ZFW

Sometimes the voltage is increased to get more energy into the phone without using as much current (heats wires and contacts).

Sometimes a bad cable can limit the amount of current that gets through to the phone.

I got the DMax glass screen protector, a 2-pack. It's not perfect but close enough that I'm no longer looking for a screen protector. :)

I didn't know this was a thing.

I wonder if the plugs can be used when you have one of these TPU cases on the phone...

Never bothered with a screen protector. I never liked the feel of look of them.

I'll remember this if I ever experience another disconnect. However, I just bought an Anker cable and have had no disconnect issues at all. Driving a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage.

u/NobodyByChoice · 1 pointr/MotoX4

It's a SuperShieldz. Been on for two months without slippage, bubbles, or anything abnormal like that. The border is weird, but it doesn't obstruct the screen, and since my phone is black, it made no visible difference once I applied it.

u/MillionMileM8 · 2 pointsr/MotoX4

I'm using These which are quite similar (might even be the same cable sold under another brand or something) Turbo works and everything. The dangerous thing would be if your external power pack couldn't put out 3A *2.4A.

u/ePHDiSK · 3 pointsr/MotoX4

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Aluminum-External-Qualcomm/dp/B01K6TFGJ4/

I can get 3 full charges off this. If I have no apps open I can get 2000 mAh steady

u/pohen · 1 pointr/MotoX4

I don't get it are you looking for something similar to this?

There is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LTyaBb3D8DDEF

but no included battery pack.

The conversation below and I both have the impression you wanted this exact device- if so, no, it won't work.

if you want something similar, google (or amazon) moto x4 wireless charging cause that's what I just did and found a shit load of product hits. But I don't see any with an included battery.

My order just arrived. This protector had been recommended on one of our subs some time back but the shipping had been delayed. I've never had a glass protector before.

Packaging is first rate. I watched the instruction video a couple of times and jumped into it. I had a concern about the alcohol cleaning swab ruining my screen's oleophobic coating, it didn't seem to. The Moto X⁴ is so slick the protector floats around like a quicksilver. Fortunately they include stickers to manage the alignment but positioning things without some hard anchor point was a little difficult. Once I removed the backing, the protector's adhesive just flowed unto the screen. I had left the plastic flim on the back of my Moto X⁴ to protect it from the metal plate which is used for my magnetic phone mounts. This only became apparent when I removed the positioning stickers; fortunately it had not slipped during installation. There is about a 3/32ths of an inch gap between the protector and the case edge which may catch dust or crumbs I fear. Also, the edge of the protector didn't come out precisely aligned with the bevel... sigh. I used Google Keep's drawing scratch pad to test out the sensitivity afterwards. It seems that it takes just a slight bit more pressure to register a touch.
