r/headphones

These are meant to be good.

There are better headphones for cheaper than Bose, but that thread will help you more than I can.

A bit unrelated but get a pair of these earbuds if you've got a spare $5. I love mine.

I'm really glad that you can play Stadia well!

I do however just want to point out that, I hope one day people will stop viewing negatively on powerline adapters, they're good! as long as you don't cheap out and buy a proper one, make sure it has MIMO technology or anything equivalent to that.

This is the one I use and it only adds 2ms ping than if I were to use ethernet directly.

If you cheap out on the powerline adapter, then yeah, your experience will be bad and awful. Powerline adapters are the 2nd best method of home networking, right close to direct ethernet.

I noticed mine was warm while my TV was off when I went to check it.

Testing now but I don't have anything to reliably measure temps.

I might use my USB fan on it if I notice it getting hot. I have one of these that's pretty quiet and portable:

I use this guy

https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-Portable-Travel-Router/dp/B00TQEX8BO/

It's cheap, it's only a wireless N router, but it's been working fine for me. I haven't used it for gaming but it works just fine for when I stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Youtube.

The other nice thing about the travel router is some places I've stayed only let so many devices connect to the internet without paying more... well the router is just seen as one device... so I connect the router to the internet and then connect every other device to the router and boom, as many devices as I want without paying extra lol.

I'm going to save someone some grief here and point out that the "specific adapter for 360 controllers to allow them to talk via USB" is the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows. This will let you connect up to 4 wireless Xbox 360 controllers. It's only officially supported on Windows, but you can use it on Mac and Linux as well.

DO NOT BUY the poorly named Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit. As much as it seems like it should work, it DOES NOT allow you to use wireless controllers over USB. The cable only sends power, no data.

Software engineering is different than many other things. It takes a lot more than just wanting. It also can't be accomplished with just money.

I can't tell you how big of a role that leadership and vision play in the equation.

But it is then the process. That is where Google has really been a leader. Google basically invented the entire SRE/DevOps space.

Wrote the canonical book on the subject. Well the latest one.

To me it is The Goal and then Phoenix Project and then you finish with the Google SRE book.

You read in that order. If a software engineer it will change your perspective if not yet read. Google just read them a lot earlier than others.

I don't know about most headsets supporting full game audio through Xbox controller, but I know this one does, and does it well: https://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Gaming-SLYR-Xbox-One-Halo/dp/B00NY5ZNZK/ref=asc\_df\_B00NY5ZNZK/

Just to offer a second option, I have this one. I owned the previous 4K30hz version and upgraded to this 4K60hz version when it came out. Never had a problem with it.

At the very least I would say you want to completely avoid any HDMI switches that don't have a dedicated power source. This one below is an example. It relies on the connected devices to provide power over HDMI which can lead to inconsistent performance.
